The Plague of Stupid
I am never in “need” of something to write about, there is so much pure garbage on the StupidNet to ridicule and so many real scary facts unfolding in the (real) world, that it would take a lifetime to even attempt to share a fraction of it. But still, I try.
I came across this today, which you do need to read first:
72 Types Of Americans That Are Considered “Potential Terrorists” In Official Government Documents
August 26, 2013 – Michael T. Snyder
Alternative News Christian Conservative Conspriacy Theories End Times Globalism Gun Owner Libertarian
Potential Terrorists The New World Order
Are you a conservative, a libertarian, a Christian or a gun owner? Are you opposed to abortion, globalism, Communism, illegal immigration, the United Nations or the New World Order? Do you believe in conspiracy theories, do you believe that we are living in the “end times” or do you ever visit alternative news websites (such as this one)? If you answered yes to any of those questions, you are a “potential terrorist” according to official U.S. government documents. At one time, the term “terrorist” was used very narrowly. The government applied that label to people like Osama bin Laden and other Islamic jihadists. But now the Obama administration is removing all references to Islam from terror training materials, and instead the term “terrorist” is being applied to large groups of American citizens. And if you are a “terrorist”, that means that you have no rights and the government can treat you just like it treats the terrorists that are being held at Guantanamo Bay. So if you belong to a group of people that is now being referred to as “potential terrorists”, please don’t take it as a joke. The first step to persecuting any group of people is to demonize them. And right now large groups of peaceful, law-abiding citizens are being ruthlessly demonized.
Below is a list of 72 types of Americans that are considered to be “extremists” and “potential terrorists” in official U.S. government documents. To see the original source document for each point, just click on the link. As you can see, this list covers most of the country…

70.Those that display the Gadsden Flag (“Don’t Tread On Me”)
71.Those that believe in “end times” prophecies
The groups of people in the list above are considered “problems” that need to be dealt with. In some of the documents referenced above, members of the military are specifically warned not to have anything to do with such groups.
We are moving into a very dangerous time in American history. You can now be considered a “potential terrorist” just because of your religious or political beliefs. Free speech is becoming a thing of the past, and we are rapidly becoming an Orwellian society that is the exact opposite of what our founding fathers intended.
Please pray for the United States of America. We definitely need it.
*About the author: Michael Snyder is the founder and publisher of The Economic Collapse Blog and End Of The American Dream. Michael’s shocking new book about the last days entitled “The Rapture Verdict” is available in paperback and for the Kindle on Amazon.com. It is shaking the world of Bible prophecy to the core, and it is being called one of the most controversial Christian books of 2016. If you would like to check it out, you can find it right here.*
This article from 2013 is being re-run right now by Jeff Rense, another idiotic website of connedspiracy theorists and lizard-alien believers. But before you dismiss either of these sources, realize we are talking about millions of brain-dead morons who lap this kind of stuff up as “fact” and “truthful”. And they’ll be VOTING very soon this (s)Election. They’re a force to be reckoned with (never under estimate the power of stupid) or how they can help your website rankings.
First off, Michael Snyder publishes a LOT of this kind of material, specifically designed to engender fear and paranoia within his readership. You’ll find this kind of article anywhere right-wing and survivalists may gather, and especially where there are “conspiracy groups” of readers (like Rense and thousands of other places).
Anything written by Snyder (as this article was) should immediately be tossed out. This clown has a long history of trying to get his disingenuous and misleading articles published. This article is no different. Using conjecture and straw arguments, Snyder insinuates what isn’t actually there (facts). And most of his readership is too spoon-fed to even realize it (go read the comments for a real eye-opener of what these people actually believe).
If you haven’t actually done so yet, GO READ the links in this article for examples of the misrepresentation (poison) this clown is spreading. This isn’t “official government documents” as Snyder has claimed, this is a training course material for students in the military (Air Force manual) and is being used for student instruction (versus government policy, as implied by Snyder). This article and many more like it was picked up and spread all over the StupidNet on similar reactionary websites, invoking hatred, fear and paranoia (look up AFSS 0910 in Google search, I refuse to give these websites any links).
Snyder begins his deceptions with his opening line (designed to incite immediate reactionary comments): “Are you a conservative, a libertarian, a Christian or a gun owner?” And of course, a misrepresented article like this only gets published on a conservative, libertarian, Christian or gun owner websites (nobody else would touch this screed). Then, if you ACTUALLY READ what is in the linked articles, you’d find that they are TEACHING about an Equal Opportunity Military Program (Equal Opportunity and Treatment Incidents). However, none of this was even mentioned by Snyder as the goal here is to incite reactionary fear.
The rest of Snyder’s screed is specifically designed to imply that this teaching program is about you and groups of conservatives, libertarian, Christian, gun owners WHEN IT’S NOT.
Any website that fails to see this deliberate deception by Snyder (who is a suspected paid disinformation specialist, agent provocateur) is also suspect for SPREADING FALSE INFORMATION just like Snyder is doing. Wake up people, you are being led around by the nose.
There’s a bit of evidence that Snyder is actually the man behind this website too, found in this bit of code:
<a class=”url fn n” title=”Michael Snyder” href=”http://thetruthwins.com/archives/author/Admin“>Michael Snyder</a>
Michael Snyder is both Admin and the author of the article. This isn’t the only website I’ve found like this, such as theeconomiccollapseblog. What this means is this individual is directly responsible for a great deal of the disinformation that is being spread far and wide online inciting fear, paranoia and conspiracy.
He’s another Alex Jones with a not unlike “empire” of deception in other words, a voice to the masses of ignorant morons who have failed basic comprehension skills. Moreover, there is quite clearly a lot of effort (time, money, websites and articles) behind this – so much so, that I strongly suspect he’s actually a paid disinformation agent, an “agent provocateur” like Jones who is really trying to undermine and expose the very groups they’re alleged to support. It’s entirely unlikely he’s all alone, this is just far too vast to even consider this likelihood. What I’ve seen is a carefully orchestrated drip-feed of similar articles being spread all over the StupidNet with many different supporting websites involved.
I’ve said this before, but will remind everyone again: none of this claims (shit) these clowns claim ever comes true. The reason is because articles like this are dishonest and do not represent the real facts which COULD have been easily shared in 2013 but weren’t. That alone should be enough for readers to reject these “voices of wisdom” but we still have that basic comprehension skills problem…
This is the #1 problem with the so-called “freedom” oriented websites today – they deliberately skew their claims and when you look back on them like this years later (as I have), none of their fears are ever realized. They endorse authors who deliberate misrepresentation of the facts is considered perfectly ok, because the goal here isn’t truth or facts, it’s readership and advertising revenue found through hype and propaganda. It’s also part of the deliberate divide and conquer strategy to separate the whole country into splintered and fractionalized groups. That way, everybody who reads anything and is persuaded to believe in this kind of deception is too frightened, too distracted and too divided to accomplish anything at all. And as everyone should have noticed – nobody ever did.
The “us against them” meme is layered like an onion, whereas it’s always one group pitted against “them” which represents everyone else. Nobody ever seems to even realize that we are all really on the same side fundamentally. We all want to live in peace and be left alone. We all want a measure of prosperity and safety. We all want to live out our lives as best we can. But this never works well for the agenda and policy makers, especially if we were to ever manage to unite on common causes, so they introduce these disinformation programs within our midst which serves to divide and dissuade us all, no matter what “belief” or opinion you may have.
There is indeed a “them” in other words, but they’re rarely identified correctly and there is indeed a real agenda that is most often simply not known. I’ve even been accused of being a “them” because of the fact that I don’t join anything or follow anybody (I can think for myself). I’m “guilty” because I don’t embrace the lies and deceptions of the connedspiracy crowd of fools. And I’m doubly damned because I just don’t go along with their deceit and even have the gall to point it all out in articles like this one. For this thankless job, I get nothing but disdain and disrespect. I’m not profiting in any way from publishing these articles nor am I selling books or advertising space like the aforementioned are. I’m not trying profit from the faketriots either. But our population has become so incredibly stupid that they continue to support the wrong people.
I’ve often thought that the StupidNet world REALLY needs to have educational classes on what is fact and what is fiction. A place where people could become smarter, and better informed on the spaghetti-hell of “truth” supposedly out there. Where people could avail themselves of the tools and information resources that would help them stay a steady and reliable course of fact versus fictions, versus the Wild West of the Internet. But then I realized that such tools and classes actually already exist but that relatively few people take advantage of them. It’s just easier to embrace one’s own opinions and belief and accept similar one’s like your own then to challenge them yourself and examining them for truth. The tools are there — but the willingness is not.
It’s like this with most things in 2016. The tools are all there, but the willingness is not. We’re too satiated and distracted to truly care about much of anything, even as I’ve oft said, it threatens us all with extinction. The whole topic of planetary death and the spiral of extinctions we’re responsible for and soon to be us is one such issue. We simply do not care enough to bother ourselves with resolution and never will. For this, the species should go extinct. The moral prerogative to even care is entirely human, but so is the cause of our extinction. If Nature produced a species that could care less as we do, then it’s self-evident that that species won’t be long for this world. Especially is that species came to dominate everything else.
In the greater scheme of things, human belief is what drives each one of us (behavior and ideology). Idiotic connedspiracies like the one shared in this essay are tiny grains of sand on a spinning planet suspended in space. They don’t mean shit in the greater context and never will. They’re important to their adherents, but ultimately they’re as irrelevant as their believers are. Asking people to “wake up” and begin to grasp the larger context and the true reality going on around this is utterly hopeless. We try and we fail.
We’re going to fail to recover from our idiocy and addictions, our distractions and demands. No matter how many articles like this get published, there will still be a complete failure to get people to wake up to the real truth of the world they live in. I hold no hope whatsoever for the human race to recover itself from the human plague of stupid. I only expect things to get worse as we fall deeper and deeper into collapse.
Don’t forget that the film ‘The Age of Stupid’ – http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1300563/
made no impact on the level of stupidity. In fact, I suspect the level of stupidity has risen since it was made (2009).
One aspect you have missed in your commentary is that the banks and corporations that control governments and the opportunists and criminals who call themselves leaders all require the general populace to be ignorant and stupid; indeed, the entire financial-economic-political system is dependent on the general populace being, and remaining, ignorant and stupid. Training in stupidity commences pre-school and continues 24/7 until old age.
As for the system itself:
Creating money out of thin air and charging interest on it, blowing ever-bigger financial bubbles and unpayable debts.
Desequesting carbon that nature sequestered tens (or hundreds) of millions of years ago and converting it into CO2 that is overheating the planet.
Increasing the population to many times the carrying capacity of the land.
Using fossil fuels to produce large quantities of ‘food’ of dubious nutritional value (in many cases actually anti-nutritional and harmful).
Stripping the oceans of anything edible and polluting them to the point of ecosystem collapse.
Pumping water from ancient aquifers to produce food unsustainably.
On and on it goes, an almost endless catalogue of short-termism and stupidity; the entire industrial system is insane.
However, it is unstoppable at this late stage in the game (maybe humanity could have saved itself in the 1970s or 1980s if there had been a will to do so), and the idiots will continue to behave like idiots until they can’t.
This is indeed the “them” that I referred to. They most certainly exist and are quite happy to keep us dumb. Their fiat money pyramid they built is how theft became legal and how they enslaved the world. This group is just as indifferent to our plight as the rest of the idiotic population – the only real difference is they’re very much a part of actively trying to destroy it at a profit, whereas most of us idiots are not. We just want to live.
You do bring up good points, including that the last several decades of missed opportunity represents ample evidence of how we can’t, won’t and never will. There is even less desire today then back then to do the right thing. Humans aren’t bright enough to comprehend their own extinction in a meaningful way, look at how we cope with the extinction of other life forms for an example. It’s no different with us, we believe we will escape this fate while we devour what remains.
I’m now “banned” at the economiccollapse site, but Snyder has posted another article to foist his “concern” over the growing violence and hatred in America. Poorly quoting the instructions in Deuteronomy and who they were for, Snyder spins out his claims of “love”. What bullshit this guy truly is. I’ve read his articles off and on for years and he’s one of the major fear-mongering connedspiracy idiots out there.
No link will be given, but here’s my take. Of course, being banned, I’m not “allowed” to post any dissent. Nothing like a little fascism to go with the love…

Deuteronomy? You’re another nutter. Your “appeal to authority” is noted. Pretty much everything you write is pure fear-mongering bullshit. This article was slightly different, but you’re still a nutter. I do not like you. I do not like what you write. I do not agree with your propaganda. I think you are a shill, an agent provocateur, a plant for the other side in reality. I know you are making shit-tons of money from all of your websites and advertisers. You only get published on conspiracy website, which speaks volumes about what you are, what you are doing and why. You certainly cannot be trusted, even slightly because you have revealed yourself repeatedly to be a nutter and a conspiracy theorists and a provocateur by trying repeatedly to incite unrest. So now you come out with this article in an attempt to fool those who haven’t figured this all out yet. Shame on you. Not fooled, not even slightly.
