There are two pages to this article about a “major oil and natural gas field” find in the Mediteranean. Except it’s not major at all. But that’s not stopping the various players from around the world already threatening gun-boat diplomacy. At $20 – $50 million to drill each well, the estimated 6 – 8 billion barrels of oil won’t be cheap.
This sort of makes you wonder what it’s like in other parts of the world as they fight and scrape over what’s left. Shadows of things to come, I’m sure.
