Site Hack

Somebody is playing games with the blog. They are attempting to hack the site and insert their own data in the scripts. I found a huge number of changes in one of the files. Because it was done incorrectly, their crap never showed up on the site and caused a php crash.

Oh well. When you start to get heard, you’re not always popular.

If there any other problems, I can be reached by email or phone.

They must be getting either brazen or desperate. All actions like that will do is give more justification to the plight and beliefs of conspiracy theorists, who already believe something is out there attempting to silence the opposing voices.

After all, in science, a theory isn’t just a guess or an idea…its a guess that has proven more than likely true by the preponderence of the evidence. Every brazen action taken to silence or cover up the opposition only leaves their fingerprints on the wall.

FWIW, for the first half of this week, viewer-ship (according to blogtoplist) was at a record (high) pace. Suddenly, about mid-week, this trend reversed itself and by weeks-end (today) the total unique hits achieved is at a virtual record low. I can’t explain it. Although the content has been somewhat reduced for the past few daze (necessarily due to Admin’s real time constraints), would-be readers obviously wouldn’t know that unless/until they ‘check in’ (clicked). So, I’m wondering if perhaps there could be someway that the mid-week “hack attempts” have successfully diverted or thwarted otherwise would-be ‘viewers’?

Yeah, it was difficult this week to get to the blog. I actually decided to wait it out after attempts to use a proxy brought about no improvement to connectivity.

Probably a larval-stage “hacker” (and I use that term very, very loosely) with no clue about how to actually script–I wouldn’t give the paranoia factor any boost because of this. It’d just make this inept script kiddie laugh.

Well, it might be because there is a certain amount of fear that the site is being monitored by various three letter agencies. Who knows? I don’t and frankly, I don’t care either.

Or it might be because there haven’t been any real updates for a while, that’s much more likely in my opinion. I’ve been terribly busy and it hasn’t let up yet, but believe me, I’m trying.
