Can’t see anything wrong with this idea:

Bicycles are in for a huge surge in demand. Cities could benefit greatly by reducing car and taxi usage with bicycles.

The only thing wrong I can see with this is the 50 lbs bikes!  Yikes! My road racing machine was 19 lbs (sold it), and a mountain bike I built last year weighs about 27 or 28 lbs.  A 50 lb bike is probably made from black pipe and concrete… But who’d want to steal such a contraption?
