Operation Cast Lead

More indiscriminate bombing and slaughter by Israel today, looks like the war on Palestine has heated up dramatically.

“At least” 229 people are now dead in today’s attacks, and at least 700 wounded. This is a full-scale assault.

Hamas is of course, being blamed by the dominate West (only the US and Israel), but unwritten in the following reports is why.

“The United States … holds Hamas responsible for breaking the ceasefire and for the renewal of violence in Gaza,” Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said in a statement. “The ceasefire should be restored immediately.”

The United Nations and the European Union, in contrast, simply called for an immediate halt to all violence.

The issue has always been about survival. The Palestinian people have endured incredible hardships and sanctions for decades. The lapdog western media refuses to talk about these terrifying conditions in which they are forced to live under and the real reasons why the so-called ‘war’ (genocide) continues with the active support of the United States. No other nation on earth receives the same military and financial support as Israel.

This is another point you should ponder: WHY?

I know the answer, but do you? Deeply ingrained into American consciousness is the idea that Israel is “owed” by us and all other nations, and it all originates from a deeply flawed understanding of actual history (and religious indoctrination).

I’ve always wondered what Americants would do if an occupying nation invaded and stole their land. The real Americans who were long since here fought back (and lost). But their decedents are still here and the oppression against them continues to this day.

Palestine represents in many ways the sanctions and actions of the United States against the American Indian. We wiped out the American Indians for EXACTLY the same reasons we’re willing to wipe out Palestine (or help those that are doing it). Millions of live are MEANINGLESS to people who simply do not care. These “savages” occupy something that we / they want and we have a God-given RIGHT to decimate them because they are not like us.

The Manifest Destiny of a “chosen people” (Jews, Christians, Whites, take your pick) has led the entire world into an unending bloodbath of senseless slaughter for thousands of years. The justification for this is always the same — and always WRONG.

I wonder how many Americants would understand an ‘uprising’ of the same sort as shown by Hamas (an ELECTED government). How long would YOU endure such a dismal future?

Me? About two bloody minutes (or less, depends on who’s blood was being shed). I would not hesitate to fight back.

The real terrorists in our world today are those who are oppressing everyone else, stealing what is not theirs and forcing sanctions and starvation on everyone else at the point of a gun. That should be perfectly obvious. But this goes against the grain, especially in the indoctrinated United States of America.

There is a true history — and there is a revisionist history. Depending on what side of the fence you are on, and where you get your news from, you will either be enraged or enlightened. My suggestion is to those who do not understand the true history, to investigate. Enlightenment will not help the Palestinian people, but it will help you.

12/28/08 update from Vaughn:

Amazing how the rhetoric and propaganda towards attaking Iran, that threatens no one; is always being pressed upon and sold to the sheeple by the North American media while Israel’s government willingly and wantonly murders Palestinians. What will the United States’ government, that backs and supports the Israelis with money and weapons do about this? Oh….NOTHING! But most likely will replenish Israel’s spent weapons stocks.

Across Mideast, thousands protest Israeli assault

“Several of Sunday’s protests turned violent. A crowd of anti-Israel protesters in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul became a target for a suicide bomber on a bicycle.”

Think carefully about that last one. A suicide bomber targeting anti-Israel protesters? Does that not tell you who the suicide bombers have been working for all along?

Hundreds of activists in Tel Aviv protest IAF strike in Gaza

“Hundreds of left-wing and human rights activists marched in the streets of Tel Aviv on Saturday night to protest the massive Israel Air Force offensive in Gaza that left at least 230 dead and hundreds more wounded.”

Israeli Carnage Leaves Hundreds Of Victims

Eyewitness Report Of The Gaza Massacre

“The Israeli bombings is flagrantly violating all laws which call for protecting civilians. This was so obvious from the number of civilian casualties. The brutal bombings happened in time of school children were going home after a normal day of study. A considerable number of children were killed, but medical sources didn’t announce official numbers in this respect. Identities of killed people are still unknown but few ones.”

Grief And Fear In Gaza

Israel to mount emergency international PR effort in wake of Gaza campaign

I would like to hope that every single one of Israel’s foreign ministers on this “charm offensive to defend slaughter” have their diplomatic credentials revoked by the countries with which Israel up to now had relations, en masse, and sent back to Israel in abject disgrace. I then hope that these countries will make it clear to Israel there there will be no more Israeli governmental representation in their country unless and until they stop this slaughter.

US Holds Hamas ‘Responsible’ For Gaza Violence: Rice

Memo to Secretary Rice: Israel broke the ceasefire on 5 November of this year. The only reason you added that little bit of palaver in your statement about “appeal to safeguard innocent lives” was simply a sop to Israel’s infuriated Arab neighbors, upon whom the US depends for oil. Were there no US dependence on Arab countries for oil, that little bit about “humanitarian concern” would never have appeared in this statement at all. The US government absolutely doesn’t care about how many kids, women, the medically infirm, and the elderly that Israel kills, as long as this conflict doesn’t spread regionally. That is the only “containment” issue they care about.

Israeli Airstrikes on Gaza Strip Imperil Obama’s Peace Chances

What Israel really wants is territory, not peace, and territory by any means necessary; if it really had wanted peace, it could have accomplished that a long time ago. And Owe-bama will still don a yamika at his next AIPAC meeting and will continue to conduct ‘business as usual’ with Israel – as in giving them more of American’s tax money to allow Israel to keep buying weapons from US “defense” contractors in which to kill Palestinians.

Israel-Gaza Cease-Fire Under Strain (November 17th, 2008)

The New York Times ‘Spins’ It (November 14th, 2008)

“The confrontations, following five months of relative calm, began to spike this month when the Israeli military destroyed a tunnel being dug toward Israel. The army feared that the tunnel would be used to seize an Israeli soldier as a bargaining chip, like Cpl. Gilad Shalit, held by Hamas for more than two years.

The Israelis said it was an isolated operation, not a violation of the cease-fire agreed to in June, and asked Egypt to pass that message to Hamas in advance. But six Hamas militants were killed during the tunnel’s destruction, leading Hamas to retaliate with rockets, which led to more closings and operations and then more rockets.”

Just what is an ‘isolated operation’?  You didn’t extrapolate on just HOW the tunnel was destroyed, did you, Mr. Bronner/El-Khodary?  BUT, you were quick to point out that Hamas retaliated with, and I quote, “…rockets, which led to more closings and operations and then more rockets.”  Pointing fingers?  Hmm?  Spin, spin, spin.

By the way, if Israel was so good at an ‘isolated operation’, which they were so matter-of-fact about back in November; then what’s the deal with the slaughter of some 350 innocent people in Gaza over the past three days?  Thats just murder and makes the subject of ‘peace’ moot as far the Israelis are concerned.

Odd… right before the seemingly never ending bush disaster spectacular, we have a brutish israel and india along with a strangely silent Arab community and Asia.
Just when we think he’s pulled his final colossal screw up out of his hat.. he keeps us guessing that he may come up with one that will push even katrina and 9-11 out of the history books…

Do you think other countries are not talking because they may have hit their frustration wall as described by admin?

21 days… He still has enough time that he could change Palestinians from the media’s ‘terrorists’ into our new role models.

The solution is complex, but it should start with withholding all funding, aid, military equipment and support to Israel.

But that is not likely to happen, Obama has made it very clear that he’s made his bed with the Zionists. Biden is no better.

I’ve no doubt at all that any presidential candidate that stands a hope in hell of being (s)Elected is required to make a deal with AIPAC and Israel.

  • December 28, 2008 at 4:55 pm

It is clear that the incalculable suffering of the Holocaust conferred no wisdom whatsoever on the Israelis. It is of no moral concern for them to dehumanize the Palestinians, conduct war crimes, and then genocide.

That our government signs on so readily says all we need to know about our shining beacon of freedom. We care not a bit about a moral high ground as long as we can run our vehicles on innocent blood, cheap oil’s surrogate.

MD, it’s not just Israel that doesn’t want the Palestinians. Very few countries in the Middle East want to deal with them — they are holed up in refugee camps in Lebanon, and let’s not forget that the Palestinian territory isn’t encircled by Israel — the other side of “walled in” is manned by Egypt. They are treated poorly everywhere — even in countries that like to use their plight as a vector to attack Israel politically.

And, similarly, before Israel, the Jews were treated poorly all across Europe and Germany’s was just the most extreme response.

  • December 29, 2008 at 5:50 pm

This has been going on in the middle east for thousands of years so a person can choose whatever segment of history they want to rationalize the side they have chosen. Should the entire world condemn Isreal it would be the fulfillment of yet another prophecy. People can reject religion but should at least recognize the possibilty that there are people that see themselves as servants of God and are using thier religious prophecies as a guide to make these things happen. Nothing will change this.

The relevant issue for us may be our percieved weakness in the eyes of the world. Bush is a lame duck and Obama? Are you kidding me? Even Biden admitted the world would test this administration. Soon not being Bush will not be good enough.

  • December 29, 2008 at 10:45 pm

It is not a ‘fulfillment’ of prophecy except in the minds of the convicted, who are easily fooled into believing anything that they have been told.

They are in fact using the ‘pick and choose’ method of preferential (and distorted) biblical interpretation to suit their own ends, a blueprint to distort billions into accepting whatever lie they wish to ‘interpret’ for the masses. This is pretty damned obvious.

There is NO justifiable reason for the decades long oppression that has been inflicted upon the Palestinian people. Wrapping a religious interpretation around this is only a cloak to hide all the evil being perpetrated (by the so-called “righteous”).

I am aware that the world simply does not care and that the truth about any of this will never be told, but here we are yet again, waging war upon civilians and stacking up more bodies of the truly innocent, blowing up children.

Those that are involved in this conflict on both sides (aggressors) are both guilty of inflicting bloodshed. But it is plain as day who’s blood is being bled out in buckets and why.

The world has been fooled into believing the preferential treatment of one group versus another is ordained by a mythical god recorded in an ancient book. The 30,000 known errors and distortions in this book aren’t ‘sufficient evidence’ that something is seriously amiss.

Religious interpretation and ‘prophecies’ are therefore rightly subject to severe scrutiny for accuracy, intelligence and truthfulness, none of which has ever been verified.

If people knew the truth behind their Bibles, they would burn down their churches, lynch their preachers and profits and scourge the Earth for those still in hiding (yet another ‘prophecy’ by the way, I am more then familiar with the book).

But this is true for all religions. It is not funny anymore how history is constantly being rewritten to support the prevailing winds. But blowing smoke up everyone’s ass has got to stop (someday I hope) before we destroy ourselves.

You quite lost me on ‘our perceived weakness’. Unless you meant our ongoing stolid support for what is clearly wrong. This is a weakness of the mind and history.

The world is quite content to have a whipping post in the form of an oppressed people. If not the Palestinians, it would be someone else.

The reports coming out of Gaza are truly horrible, it is not hard at all to envision my own rage if that were me and my family was blown to bits. But many Americants are truly a brainwashed people, dead inside to all that is just, right and true and would prefer to dwell in the twilight zone between illusion and reality.

‘Funny’ how the vast majority (if not all the rest) of the countries of the world have managed to condemn these actions as being beyond brutal and genocidal, but here in this idiotic country, the spin machines keep up the brain wash, soap, suds, rinse, repeat, ad naseaum.

It is not prophecy or its interpretation that is relevant here (and never was), it is the reality of what is going on right now before our very eyes.

Vaughn sent me several more updates, posted in the blog article above under 12/29/09.

Israel attacked just as the school children were changing classes.

This site has some very disturbing photos, by their count, over 1600 have now been wounded (far in excess of the Western numbers, but that’s very typical, the US and Israel do not count the dead or wounded).

    Gaza Massacre

  • December 30, 2008 at 12:13 am

“our percieved weakness” was in reference to Obama’s weak military credentials and liberal views. Note that I don’t believe use of the word liberal is an insult only a point of view.

Faithful or brainwashed matters not, it is what they believe that I think is relevant. I am only wish to make my point understood, not be arguementative.

Setting that a side. Would doing nothing stop the attacks on Isreal? No. How about a measured response? Shooting rockets indescrimately into gaza would be fair but would not stop anything either. Going into Gaza and destroying them all (thier current plan) would work but the prospects of killing them all is unlikely. There is no solution for the middle east. When will WE learn this?

  • December 30, 2008 at 12:29 am

How about giving them their land back? And honoring the Right of Return (ROR)? And their elected government?

The solution is unbelievably simple, but never to be discussed or even recognized.

I have spent several hours now, reading up on this conflict and the tragedies that have befallen Gaza. I doubt if 1 person in a 1000 in America (or 10,000) would even bother.

Doing so would reveal what is not that hard to find — Israel has engaged in decades long oppressions, starvation, and a campaign of genocidal brutality that has cost thousands upon thousands of lives, with no repercussions for their actions.

They are in fact, exhibiting the same brutality used by the Nazi’s, which makes Michael’s comment so appropriate, they have learned nothing.

The West is brainwashed, but only the West. The rest of the world sees this for what it really is.

  • December 30, 2008 at 12:46 am

There are many articles like this, but this is a good primer for those interested in the real history (and the solution I’ve offered):

    Origin of Arab-Israeli Conflict.

This a .pdf file, but not too big and was put out by Jews For Justice In the Middle East

“Given the history outlined in this paper, we conclude that the Palestinians have gotten “the short end of the stick” and that justice demands that wrongs should be righted. Full and complete justice would entail allowing any Palestinian to return to Israel if they wished but, practically speaking, we understand that this is a recipe for even more bloodshed. Therefore, recognizing that reality, we join Gush Shalom and other Israeli peace groups in calling for a negotiated, modified right of return with the bulk of Palestinian refugees being settled in a Palestinian state, financed by generous reparations from both Israel and the international community.”

  • December 30, 2008 at 12:54 am

I don’t have a clue how to spell Ackmadinajad but I thought he proposed a plan jokingly that was actually pretty good. He suggested the Isrealis move to Alaska. We have plenty of room and if they gave it a try I think they would like it up here. The Jews know well about genicide and I can’t speak with certainty but could it be they are thinking better them than us? I know they have been fighting all my life and I have grown to accept that they always will. They may have grown to accept a level of bloodshed that we can’t imagine. No one can say it is right, It’s just the way it is.
