Commentators online are real morons. They second-guess everything, wrapping it around their confirmation bias and political ideology without demonstrating any evidence.
Conjecture abounds, none of the claims made by commentators and most authors would stand up to any close scrutiny or examination.
Poor quality articles and sub-headings prime the online readership to respond in kind. Stupid is as stupid does I guess.
So far, every website seems to be absolutely worthless, low-quality and generally misleading and the commentators found there (everywhere) are even worse and should not even be allowed to post such utter nonsense and connedspiracy crap. Nobody sticks to the topic, they can’t help themselves apparently.
Rather then actually addressing the information, points and facts in the articles, commentators engage in speculative nonsense and fear-mongering claims of asinine proportions.
Self-prescribed “experts” in apparently everything are actually just morons on the loose. Possibly working from their mothers basement.
No respect or attention is even given to the real information or facts or authors that have reported their findings, i.e., what is actually in the article post for the obtuse. Instead, commentators lavish ridiculous claims and connedspiracies expressing idiotic beliefs into what they claim the article is really saying. This is Qanon tactics from non-Qanon idiots.
This class of journalistic attack by post authors and comment makers reveals a general lack of critical skills and ability to think clearly. Nobody apparently is willing to accept anything being posted as factual or even on-topic, there “must” be another “meaning” according to these idiots.
Engagement at any level in this type of discourse is to simply continue to pollute the mind and mislead everyone else who happens to read any of this. In other words, it’s all utterly worthless. The articles, the comments, the sub-headings, the supposed “discourse” as idiots wander all around and off-topic.
In other words, a waste of life. A waste of time. A waste of energy. Just a waste in all respects.
And it’s clearly getting worse.
Take a break, walk away and think on these things. Then come back and read something and see if you don’t agree.

A small portion of what is reported as news is true.
e.g. ‘Environment Canterbury monitoring sites in Rosy Morn, Hurunui State Highway 1 and Kainga Yard recorded more than 100mm of rain – two months’ worth in less than 24 hours. ‘
I know this is true because my rain gauge recorded 107mm yesterday, and the stream was over half full.
All the political stuff and Covid stuff and most of the energy narratives are definitely fake -geared to keeping people believing in bullshit and keeping them frightened and compliant…and buying yet more stuff they don’t need.
I find science articles to be the most fact-based, and therefore with a high probability of being true. Everything else is pure shit. Especially politics, or anything that the news attempts to pass off as “news” which is almost always an opinion piece with associated bias.
But the real issue is how the reading / watching / viewing / commenting public reacts. They reject what is likely very true, and second guess the “hidden meaning” that they are so absolutely certain can be found in any publication. This practice has gone behind mere speculation and has taken on doctrinal connotations – you’re expected to disbelieve everything, even what is known fact.
This practice has birthed generations of morons and connedspiracy idiots. The media does lie (constantly), does misrepresent (constantly), does conflate, deflect and even destroy important news and stories (all the time). Manipulating minds has become the final tier in a five-way orgy where you simply don’t know who or what is going to fuck you.
So rather then identify the real enemy in these stories, strawman arguments are always being created, always conflated to support bias and ideology.
If this is confusing – the reading public is dumb as shit. They know they’re being lied to (we all do) – but they fail to toss out their own filters and perceptions, which is just as bad or even worse then the useless garbage being promoted as “news”. Probably worse. Actually, certainly worse because they’re helpless idiots flailing away at the wind, accomplishing nothing, while still being manipulated to be exactly what they are – helpless idiots.
There is an addiction to screens. To current events, to “news”, to whatever is trending, and of course, to the unsocial social media brain freeze. Idiots too goddamned stupid to realize they are being targeted (individually, as I have shown before), and constantly manipulated. This is an addiction that is hard to break. They don’t see themselves as part of the problem, but they are – willing connedsumers of pablum and misdirection.
Anyway, step back and take a break from it all – it’s plain as day.
In NZ there was a movement to reduce costs in the media, and this resulted in senior staff with some knowledge and experience retiring/being sacked/leaving and being replaced by students from journalism schools with next-to-no-knowledge and no experience; these incompetents (many had poor understanding of English) were paid a pittance to fill ‘newspapers’ with garbage.
The print media is now almost completely dead, with just a few propaganda outlets surviving on advertising revenues from business-as-usual organisations…. many of which are in terminal failure because of the general failure of the system that has resulted from decades of overconsumption and Ponzi finance etc.
The bulk of the electronic media are so biased in favour of business-as-usual most of what they churn out is pure propaganda.
The current game is to scare the shit out of everyone via hyping the threat of ‘everyone’ dying from Omicron, yet the evidence [obtainable from the few reputable websites still accessible] indicates that the Omicron variant is far less debilitating that other variants -even if it is more transmissible.
George Carlin had is sussed decades ago: “It’s all bullshit, and it’s bad for you.”
Fortunately more people are seeing that it’s all bullshit, and are fighting back. Probably only 5% of the populace. But that’s better than the 1% it was for a long time.
The other 90-95% are probably unreachable and will only recognise they’ve been lied to when their televisions screens go blank, permanently.
Needless to say, the remnants of the media that still exist work hard to vilify the awake and keep the ‘sheep’ in the pens, where they can be regularly fleeced. Because that is what it is ultimately all about: keeping people dumbed-down, misinformed and exploitable.
I wonder if that has occurred elsewhere, I don’t know. US media is absolutely atrocious now. You’re dead right about the propaganda. They are a large reason why nothing will ever change – they won’t tell the truth about our predicament, and all the dominoes falling (everywhere) now. They’re fabricated an entire alternate reality to what is really going to happen.
I noticed the level in Lake Mead has fallen a little are a few days of rising. It’s the first time in the history of the lake that it has fallen at this time of the year.
Now that’s a stark warning it ever there was one!

It is not at all clear how many people actually get real sick or die from Omicron – the media claims it is highly infectious, but less serious. I recall only one person dying in the UK – but I don’t know how many are hospitalized (which is bankruptcy for some people).
In any case, I’m not concerned about it, nor staying abreast (doesn’t matter). Not interested in a booster shot either, Moderna was shown to have 9x% (trying to remember, but it was like 94% efficacy) after six-months. I also don’t think they’ve come up with a Omicron shot anyway. As I’ve said, not going to focus on the distractions, it’s a waste of life.
From the article linked – “The new virus strain was first detected by South African officials last month, and preliminary data shows it is highly infectious and has the ability to evade protection provided by the vaccines.”
But they want you to get “boosted” anyway. Makes no sense to me. The article itself contains a lot of hype and contradictions (media manipulation).

I am not convinced that this is true (or better said, was already true, don’t think the pandemic caused this). Opportunists will take advantage of any crisis. The pandemic is clearly real. We were already serfs, nothing has really changed in that regard. There may be a new class of untouchables – we’ll see. Generally, they thumb their noses at everyone anyway and do whatever the hell that they want. I doubt that they are controllable, even with vaccination requirements, lockdowns and so on. The world is still the same as it was, the rich are getting richer, the poor are getting power, the serfs are still here. The political landscape hasn’t change much either, only the economy has actually suffered.
Since economic wealth flows to the rich anyway, can’t see as how they’d have chosen to use the pandemic as an excuse to shoot themselves in the foot. They want customers to consume, to take on debt, to work in factories and cubicles and to slave away. Does them little good at all to end any of that, only hurts their bottom line.
If Trump was put back in office, everything you said would be true (here at least), American society would have been transformed dramatically and for the very worst. He would have enabled his Brown Shirts to attack the non-loyalists and could have even see a type of purge take place (removal from jobs, positions and influence – which DID happen while he was in office). It would have just been much worse, and likely will be should he return to the throne to exact his vengeance and hatred.
