Massive Government & Media Failures Still Happening

I am absolutely disgusted. The US media has massively failed to accurately report events BEFORE January 6th and AFTER the January 6th coup attempt. The US Government is doing the same thing and making the same massive failures.

I”m already seeing crucial stories being deliberately buried. From the Seattle Times:

The planning for Wednesday’s assault on the U.S. Capitol happened largely in plain view, with chatters in far-right forums explicitly discussing how to storm the building, handcuff lawmakers with zip ties and disrupt the certification of Joe Biden’s election – in what they portrayed as responding to orders from President Donald Trump.

This went far beyond the widely reported, angry talk about thronging Washington that day. Trump supporters exchanged detailed tactical advice about what to bring and what to do once they assembled at the Capitol to conduct “citizens arrests” of members of Congress. One poster said, “[expletive] zip ties. I’m bringing rope!”

Such comments were not confined to dark corners of the Web. They were scooped up and catalogued by researchers who made their findings public weeks before a seemingly unprepared Capitol Police force was overrun by thousands of rioters, in an incident that left one officer, one protester and three other people dead.

The question left unanswered is why didn’t authorities prepare more effectively for a storm that many outsiders saw looming on the horizon – especially when those planning the assault were so open about their intentions?

Online chatter was organized, in some cases, around hashtags such as #StormTheCapitol and included threats to kill Congressional leaders.

Two points to make: This was reported to the FBI in advance and nothing was done. Secondly, this is advanced proof of an attempted coup. Yet the media consistently fails to call the “riot” a coup attempt, and so does the US Government and law enforcement that is now charging the “rioters” with “trespassing” type charges – which will do nothing to help prevent the next coup attempt. It’s been obvious for months that a “slow-motion” coup attempt has been underway – and now that it finally happened, they’re still unable to label this correctly.

The lack of security at the Capitol is not an accident. It is very clear to me that there were breaches of our law-enforcement agencies. The fact that there were no barriers, that they were essentially allowed in.

There are a few other people calling it a coup: Trump attempted a coup: he must be removed while those who aided him pay including the Schwarzenegger video I’ve shared farther down. But the point that the media is deliberately misleading Americans is still very evident. And even more importantly, the massive failure within government to recognize a coup attempt and apply the consequences to Trump and every other participant cannot be forgotten and overlooked. They are CLEARLY lying to us.

Concerns about more violent incidents appear to be well founded. Calls for widespread protests on the days leading up to the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden have been rampant online for weeks. These demonstrations are scheduled to culminate with what organizers have dubbed a “Million Militia March” on Jan. 20 as Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris are to be sworn in on the same Capitol grounds that rioters overran on Wednesday.

I know for a fact that calls for civil war, widespread violence and the murder of Americans can be found all over right-wing websites and social media accounts. Why isn’t this being reported? This is more evidence of massive media failures and likely, government failure to understand the threats now being elevated.

Buzzfeed reports that Amazon will “suspend” Parler tonight (Sunday). Parler CEO John Matze wrote a stupid note about “free speech” and utterly failed to respond to the problems with hate speech and calls for violence.

People on Parler used the social network to stoke fear, spread hate, and coordinate the insurrection at the Capitol building on Wednesday. The app has recently been overrun with death threats, celebrations of violence, and posts encouraging “Patriots” to march on Washington, DC with weapons on January 19, the day before the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden.

And on Parler:

On Parler, reaction to the impending ban was swift and outraged with some discussing violence against Amazon. “It would be a pity if someone with explosives training were to pay a visit to some AWS data centers,” one person wrote.

Nobody seems to be taking these extremists calls for deadly violence seriously enough. The massive failure to protect the Capital falls on many different shoulders from technology companies to law enforcement and government officials. But it is not just the American capitol being threatened now, documented threats against State capitols and government and privately owned buildings and citizens have been made.

Allegedly, some claimed they voted against the Electoral College certification mandated by the Constitution “out of fear“. This is clearly a massive failure on multiple levels (read the article), but in case you still don’t get it – the allegation of fear and violating the Constitution demonstrates how unfit for office these traitors are.

Reps. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, Jaime Herrera Beutler and Dan Newhouse, Washington’s three GOP members of Congress, condemned the attack, but not the president who incited it. Even as Trump lauded the attackers after they stormed the Capitol — “We love you, you’re very special,” he said — none of the three said anything negative about the president.

All three have echoed the president’s false claims of a stolen or fraudulent election, although McMorris Rodgers reversed her plans to officially object to the election results after the attack. None of the three responded to repeated interview requests for this article.

We’ve got traitors right here and everywhere else around the country – in government positions. They are either incredibly stupid – or traitors (or both). How could they have possibly fallen for the connedspiracy that the election was fraudulent? They’ve got access to better information then we do, yet failed to accept it. They SAW what Trump was doing (and had zero excuse to not know what was going on) and went along with it. If that’s not treasonous activity (enabling him and attempting to help him steal the election), I don’t know what is.

January 20th cannot come soon enough – but make no mistakes, many of the traitors are STILL IN OFFICE (by the hundreds). And who knows how Biden or Harris will behave? I’m not a Democrat nor a Republican and I don’t have a horse in this race at all. But I am a citizen of this country and I’m seeing traitors everywhere. Private individuals and government officials are still actively betraying the citizens of the United States. This is far from being “over”. The rot infecting this country is still growing: Protesters, many armed, gather for a ‘patriot rally’ outside Kentucky state Capitol.

Either we are a nation of laws that support the Constitution of the United States or we are a mob of unruly idiots tearing this country apart. Those that support the Capitol coup are traitors. Those that supported Trump stealing the election by any means are traitors. You are not patriots. You are faketriots. I don’t care if you are a private citizen or a government official. We are all subject to the laws of this land and there is NO credible evidence that the election was fraudulent. NOBODY has an excuse about this fact.

David Kaye, a University of California-Irvine law professor and former U.N. special rapporteur on free speech believes the Parlers of the world will also face pressure from the public and law enforcement as will little-known sites where further pre-inauguration disruption is now apparently being organized. They include MeWe, Wimkin, TheDonald.win and Stormfront, according to a report released Saturday by The Alethea Group, which tracks disinformation.

For all you “prohibiting free speech” advocates out there – private platforms are not the government and they CAN regulate whatever speech they want. The Constitutional provisions regarding free speech DO NOT APPLY to private companies. Moreover, it’s clearly dangerous to allow hate speech and calls for violence to continue to flourish. Go yell at your neighbor if you want and plan your next revolution from your back yard – nobody is stopping you. Or start your own social media platform.

I hate censorship as much as anyone, having been the “victim” of this activity many, many times. But nothing I’ve ever written and had censored was anything like the crap being permitted now on these rabid platforms of connedspiracy and disinformation. In fact, my own issues with being censored had nothing to do with violence or hate and everything to do with pointing out the stupid arguments people are making, the rabid idiocy and the illogical, ill-founded claims posed by complete idiots. I’ve been banned on EVERY platform I’ve joined in the past because I am one of the few people that will speak up and point out flawed claims and bogus bullshit. That’s what gets me “banned” by weak moderators and fearful website owners and even social media companies (I tried Twitter, the story is here on this blog).

But hey, they are ALL private platforms and they can do what they want. That’s why I only blog these days – no place else is willing to allow informed commentary that challenges the status-quo. I’m radioactive and know it. But I’m long past the place of giving a damn. People are wasting their lives away online (as am I). I’ve definitely got better, more important things to do. This “online life” is a massive deception.

Does anyone even realize how utterly stupid and wasteful this is? Does anyone even care? Wasting entire lives digesting lies and deceptions, engaging in useless online arguments and echo-chambers? Screen time is seductive, deliberate and designed for the destruction of independent minds and critical thought.

That’s why I read a lot of books, almost exclusively non-fiction. I’m doing what I can to stay informed, educated and aware, but life “online” is not reality. I’m sharing this (again) as a warning to Americans – don’t fall for the bullshit you’re reading online, especially now that calls for civil war are going stratospheric.

Your life is NOT going to change under Biden. Socialism / communism is NOT going to take over the United States. Your freedoms are NOT going to be “attacked”. The social media you’ve been digesting is lying to you. Hyperbole and conflation are extremely common tactics to generate participation, as is conjecture and straw arguments. STOP FALLING FOR THIS BULLSHIT.

Everyone in this country needs to calm the fuck down. And everyone needs to discard the bullshit they’ve allowed to creep into their lives, taking over their ability to think for themselves. The media in every form and government officials use lies, deceptions and brainwashing tactics to deceive everyone into reactionary camps, fostering divisions and hatred. It’s called “rhetoric” and it is being endlessly repeated. It’s your fault if you keep falling for this.

Life will go on – same as before, but the real problems, the most important and urgent problems still remain unsolved and largely unaddressed. Our most urgent problem for the next few days is to get rid of the Traitor in Chief (clearly), but then we’re going to have to deal with the brainwashed fools that fell for his incessant lies. But the real issue facing this nation isn’t even this. It is the collective failure for people to stay united as Americans with a common cause (survival as a country if you still need this explained to you). We’ve got massive problems to solve and tearing ourselves apart over complete lies is simply the height of stupidity.
