Heat Wave

Record-smashing heat wave poised to send temps even higher

Last night, a rather significant electrical storm passed through (here), thundering all night long. It was so noisy that I couldn’t hardly sleep, but pretty cool actually. I could smell smoke, but then the rains came like a flood, literally drenching everything with extreme rains. By morning, no smoke could be detected, so hopefully whatever the lightning hit was put out.

Temps here are cool and comfortable, but the South is getting cooked, again. Hydropower for some areas is also declining, which means there may actually be blackouts this summer in the Western US. Farmers and authorities are “concerned” with drought declarations declared in numerous States.

If I lived there – I’d be prepared for the worst.
