Greenhouse Gasses Are Accelerating and It’s Trump’s Fault

The “Donald” has promised to expand oil, coal, fracking and the size of his hairpiece in the latest twist of planet destroying actions:

Trump: America First on Fossil Fuels, Last on Climate Change

Totally and utterly unconcerned for any viable habitable future for mankind or the planet, Trump intends to undue anything standing in the way of exploiting the planetary resources even further. The “plan” as it were, is to open up the floodgates and reverse any and all protections of the natural environment, “maximizing production of coal, oil and natural gas.”

Well, I suppose it’s not all Trump’s fault just yet (it’s the Koch brothers) – but it will be. If this doesn’t tell voters EXACTLY what Trump really is, and who he is in league with, then nothing will.

Meanwhile, as we breathlessly await this absolute insanity, Trump proposes a wall to protect his multi-million dollar golf course from the rising seas. He may claim he doesn’t “believe in global warming” but he’s sure willing to spend millions of dollars to try and prevent it impacting his own investments.

I couldn’t make this shit up, I’m not that creative or cunning. But Trump is – he’s got the whole right-wing connedservative movement absolutely convinced he’s the right man for the right job at the right time and will lead America to “greatness”. Nothing could be further from the truth. Next to religion, this is one of the biggest con-jobs I’ve ever seen foisted upon a nation.

Far From Turning a Corner, Global CO2 Emissions Are Still Accelerating but not many people seem not to care or notice. That’s ok – the climate won’t be noticing them either as it steamrolls it way over homes, businesses and lives. If Trump gets his way and is (s)Elected into office, you can be sure that there will be millions of Americans who will come to know the true meaning of disaster. Massive and deadly heat waves are already striking large portions of the Earth, killing thousands. Trump proposes that none of this is important enough to even bother with and even claims that the Chinese made this all up.

The National Oceanographic And Atmosphere Administration (NOAA) reports the facts:

Meanwhile, mega-forests fires in Alberta, Siberia and the Russian Far East are contributing to the global crisis of a planet with a fever. Not to worry however, since Trump will “restore America’s greatness” – whatever in hell that is supposed to mean.

I don’t despise the man (not yet, give me time), but I absolutely do not trust him or his judgement or his intentions. He might as well be the responsible person for global warming because he’s certainly promising that by becoming President he will ensure our utter failure to do whatever we can to prepare for it. The jobs and prosperity that he claims to seek could just as easily be created with a global emergency response effort to prepare for global warming. Instead, he’s proposed the business-as-usual approach which is absolutely certain to destroy us all.

It’s fucking nuts.

But that’s Americant politics – the nation that manages to consistently lie to itself every four years about virtually everything with the voters falling for it, every time.

We live in a crazy, crazy world, and it’s about to get even crazier.

Let’s say the physical chemistry of AGW was not yet irreversible, just for a thought experiment. (I know, but bear with.) What would be required—at minimum—to have any hope of turning things around?

That is to say, if we still had a chance, what would the outline of the absolute minimum requirements look like?

Well, first you’d have to change the banking/money creation system. You’d also need to end globalization, neoliberalism and urbanization, in favor of local economies, national sovereignty (so people have democratic leverage in their countries/communities), and ruralization, getting people back to the land, in low-entropy communities that were as self-sufficient as possible.

You’d also have to institute population control. We knew this had to be done in the 1960s, when there were only three billion of us. Then it would have meant one child per woman for a few generations, until we got one billion, or whatever the number was eco-footprint appropriate. Now, of course, you’d have to say one child per every five women, or something along those lines.

So I think that’s a sketch of the absolute minimum required changes.

Obviously, there’s zero chance that Hillary, or even Bernie or Jill Stein (Green Party) will come to office with such an agenda. Even if they did, the current culture would never allow it to be implemented.

You are right to despise Trump’s ecological ignorance, of course. It’s absolutely detestable.

On the other hand, I’m not convinced that Hillary is really any better on the environment.

Truth to tell, I’m more disappointed in Trump than angry, because he appears to be much less interested in war, foreign adventures, empire building, provoking Russia and implementing neoliberal trade treaties than Hillary. He appears to be more concerned with internal economic issues, with at least some chance that he’ll choose Main Street over Wall Street.

I hate war, I hate the destruction of countries that empire and neoliberalism has wrought, I hate being ruled by banking monoliths and their minions, and I really, really, want to vote for someone who doesn’t owe them a bloody thing and really doesn’t appear to be afraid of them. Should another 2008 crash in the banking giants again, my read on Trump is that he’s more likely to tell them to declare bankruptcy than to bail them out.

Of course, he has no public voting record, so we can’t really be sure where he stands on things. But so many establishment types hate him, I suspect he poses at least some threat to their interests.

In conclusion, I’m more saddened than angry that he’s such an absolute cretin on AGW and environment issue.

But hey, I respect your right to be furious and contemptuous. I totally get it. So many people are such ignoramuses in regard to science, honestly, I have a hard time understanding it. I went to public high school, and yeah, they taught science, four years of it, I learned it. What’s the fucking problem?

We’re just a bunch of hairless primates who should have never started farming, I guess. Live in the hands of the gods, as Daniel Quinn would say.

    • June 3, 2016 at 8:27 am

The problem is religion (largely), although this doesn’t account for all of the willful ignorance exhibited. I suspended my science knowledge and acceptance when I was religious, but when I learned how utterly ridiculous this position was and how untenable it became the more I researched, I abandoned it. They do not (and cannot) co-exist without conflict. Frankly, I don’t see the problem with abandoning a false belief system, when it fails so miserably and when it is so clearly the source of outrageous stupidity and manipulation leading the world to where it is today.

We would have to resolve much more then AGW, but I know you know that already. You’d have to dismember the elite, and the mega-nationals along the way and their weapons. Religion would have to go too, otherwise you’d wind up with enclaves of rabid idiots that would wage war on everyone else.

Bernie is the only candidate that stood a chance at being (s)Elected trying to address our folly as a species (he’s about much more then AGW as you know), but they made sure he’d not gain the nomination. We’ll have to see what he does next but it’s extremely doubtful that even he could have changed the status-quo.

I’m no fan whatsoever of politicians (any of them) and have long decried the sheer stupidity of our political system and process, but a lot of people still are and they continually hope that the system will be reformed from within or without (miracle thinking, it’s really just another religion). Unlikely, as in a snowball’s chance in hell imo because the corruption, collusion, corporatism and chronyism is so bad now that it’s unrootable. It’s also global, the problem isn’t just here. Not many people realize that the corruption is designed right into our Constitution, so it would simply come back again.

So we (humanity) get to sit back and either pretend and play along with the illusions and deceptions (or stay ignorant), or express our contempt while this entire process of ‘pretend’ sends the world careening towards destruction. Enraged? Not yet, although we rightly should be. We should have been (past-tense) non-participants at every level, building our own society and structure and systems…. oh wait, we tried that and they stomped it into oblivion by way of propaganda, water cannons, arrests, passage of laws and so much more. What tiny vestiges of ‘resistance’ remain are insignificant and toothless (including all the so-called ‘movements’ today, like the 99%, etc., etc.).

It’s checkmate time for humanity, certainly for modern civilization. But hey, let’s keep pretending otherwise, it’s much more fun. And profitable. Watch Netflix’s “Citizen Koch” for an example of every point I just shared.

Hahaha! – how about that jobs report today? Only about 7mm more Americans need to drop out of the labor force for unemployment to be 0%. That could happen relatively soon as automated trucks, cars and airplanes remove the need for truck drivers, cab drivers and most pilots over the next 5-10 years. Isn’t technology wonderful!

It looks to me like we are in the free for all, grab what you can stage at this point with government working more feverishly than ever to help corporations plunder us all. From banking to healthcare to consumer staples to government, everything is a tithe now to enrich the few at the expense of many. From interest on debt and transaction fees all going to the banks, from exorbitant costs for healthcare and ruinous opiate drugs that leave people’s lives either decimated by addiction, broke from the costs or dead, to GMO and/or highly processed/refined sugary/carb foods making us sick and unhealthy – all further enabled and enhanced for rollout and consumption and price increases by the government cronies of the corporate state, who by the way are all paid by these organizations and represent their interests, not ours.

Meanwhile, back in reality, species after species goes extinct, wildfires burn acre after acre further reducing our ability to sequester carbon and releasing more deadly warming methane gas, arctic sea ice collapses also reducing albedo and releasing frozen methane from below , garbage fills up the oceans, ag runoff and global warming poisons and acidifies the oceans, corals bleached, 100 year flood and droughts are now occurring almost daily (Houston, India), as runaway global warming shifts into higher gear.

And then to top that off – we are labeled the cynical ones! We have to remain silent or be ostracized for having so-called controversial points of view that “don’t do anyone any good”. If we continued to belabor these points at work or home it is very likely we would eventually end up unemployed, alone and homeless. Corporations and law enforcement have no problem checking your social media of choice to find out your points of view and just wait until facial recognition really takes off. You’re likely to have a drone following you around 24/7 within the next 5 years if your point of view isn’t one of God and Country.

Yet most Amerikans think all of these security measures are to protect them from terrorists! LMAO! The 1% has this thing buttoned down far better than Orwell could have even imagined. And then they layered it over with Huxley’s bread and circuses using things like the NFL, Kardashians, etc….so that the sheeple could be entertained as all of their freedoms were stripped away. So in between entertainment sessions, we get a terror attack every once in awhile to scare the sheeple and convice them to keep funding the military to the tune of $500B per year thus keeping the military industrial complex fat and happy and extorting resources from abroad to further enrich the 1%.

We all know what the problems are – what can we do about it? That is the question

    • June 3, 2016 at 11:26 am

What can we do about it? We can die.

That is the final outcome of what we are really discussing here. We cannot stop AGW or even hope to ‘win’ against those forces that are arrayed against life. Winning isn’t even the goal. But we can resist and we should, otherwise we give them an unresisted victory (and they’re never held accountable for what they’ve done).

Our extinction isn’t negotiable now, I think the evidence shows that we’re all going to lose in the end. But that doesn’t mean we give up and let those responsible get off scott-free either, or allow them to ruin us each even further (not if we can help it).

Resistance imo is absolutely essential until we’re all dead. It’s irrelevant if we ‘win’ (and always was).

Add 3 more zeros and then we’re talking real numbers.

I’d wager that more than 370 children in India die every fkn day due to water borne pathogens alone – every single day for at least the past several centuries.

And no one in the ‘West” has ever given a flying fuck about any of that. I’ve seen claims that several children under age 5 die every SECOND in Africa due to water borne disease and/or starvation.

Coming SOON to a theater of operations near you.

If I had to chose between heat stroke and dehydration and/or starvation, then I’d pick the former any day. Fortunately, I have ammo (and goons).

For me, when- ntm where – I die is increasingly less and less ‘important’ (relevant).
      How is the challenge.

Lived my life on my terms (as much as possible anyway ). Fully intend to check-out as I determine, also

“You think Nature is some Disney movie? Nature is a killer. Nature is a bitch. It’s feeding time out there 24 hours a day, every step that you take is a gamble with death. If it isn’t getting hit with lightning today, it’s an earthquake tomorrow or some deer tick carrying Lime disease. Either way, you’re ending up back at the start of the food chain.”. Plan Accordingly … or not.

WRT: Killary Kunt vs Dumbo Drumpf – either way the US of Anus gets exactly what we deserve.
That ‘choice’ is identical to selecting between eating warm cat shit and cold dog shit every fkn day forever.
No matter what, you won’t like it in any way at any point and it will kill you, albeit slowly.
    • June 3, 2016 at 12:41 pm

Nah, that can’t be true! Robert Fanney (Scribbler) claims otherwise:

My sense is that Hillary has been unfairly treated on a number of issues including emails and Bengazi. It’s all BS and nonsense to say that she’s dishonest. She has represented her views pretty openly. Moreso than any republican I know. And though I disagree with her on the issues of education (support of deleterious charter schools), and her past support of fracking, I think that she’s been pretty open in the past RE these policies. It seems to me now that her views on renewable energy are positively evolving and that she has put together one hell of an energy team for her candidacy. One that will support a massive renewables expansion in the US and a related large-scale carbon emissions reduction effort. This has made her one ginormous target. And its a major reason why, if she does become the candidate, we should support her all-out against the fossil fuel driven attacks.

It’s amazing someone so gifted can be so uninformed, but I’ve seen this repeatedly on numerous claims he’s made (there was a recent claim that civilization would have advanced like we did without fossil fuels). His blind acceptance of Hillary boggles my mind. Where the hell was this guy in the 1990’s? Oh, playing cop and writing for Janes. Well that explains a lot imo and where loyalties lie.

I can no longer read his site for his articles, just for the commentary from some of his fans who notably keep quiet about their political endorsements. They are are the real ‘value’ there now. Their at least aware of what is going on, but there are still endorsements for endless levels of hopium without merit.

There is a different level of awareness that is revealed when you step back long enough to see how things really work and how they are opposed to life, liberty, intelligence and their effect upon the future. When I was participating as most people do, I could not see what I see today. It contradicted everything that I believed and was trying to hold onto. But when I stepped away, a lot of the varnish and paint wore off and I began to see things differently.

I think this is why some feel outrage and some don’t. Most people are still worried about ‘self’ and retirement and benefits and position, status, income, etc., etc., whereas if you are past this concern in life, you focus on other things that are greater then self or in this case, the perpetuation of civilization as if that is all that ‘matters’.

Well, now we get to experience what this means – the desperate demand to perpetuate civilization and the status-quo. This is where I dramatically differ from the average – I see no point at all into perpetuating this monstrosity of death and destruction or to go on ‘pretending’ it’s the best we can do. Hillary will be a horrible monster (based on the facts of her history, voting record and life). Why supposedly intelligent people cannot see this means they are really all about maintaining the status-quo and have a vested interest in doing so. I certainly don’t.

Scribbler’s effervescence in regard to Hillary is hopium and projection. Many felt the pull in regard to Obama.

“He’s a Constitutional Law professor. Surely, he’ll act to preserve our civil liberties.”

“He says he’s going to re-examine NAFTA. It’s our chance to get it repealed.”

All hopium, all projection. The candidate says a few things these people and that group wants to hear, and they eat it up. They believe because they want to believe.

To be honest, I’ve felt a little bit of that pull myself with Trump. I just know better than to trust it. For example, his spiel that AGW is a Chinese conspiracy. At one level, I want to believe he’s too intelligent for that shit; he’s spent his whole life getting what he wants, he ain’t dumb. Could he be just saying that because he’s playing to the choir, keeping his real thoughts secret until after the election?

Maybe. But it really doesn’t matter. Because I can’t allow myself to get drawn in to my own hopium and projection.

If a guy says he’s going to get a knife and come after you, you’ve got to believe him. It’s the only prudent course.

Same thing with politicians. There are a small few, like Bernie Sanders, Dennis Kucinich, Ron Paul (those last two are retired now, obviously) and some others whom, I believe, actually believe what they say because they’ve gone through the wringer for their ideals with everything to lose and so much else to gain. But those that talk the talk and then earn $21 million in speaking fees from big corporations are walking a different way.

Hillary is walking a different way than she talks, and Scribbler can’t see this through the inertia of his own hopium and projection. Within the canvas of his mind, he’s painting her more and more prettily.

As for myself, I have doubts that Trump is as stupid as he sometimes presents himself. It often seems like a brilliantly crafted strategy to play to the disenchanted masses.

But…. What do I really know about his positions? He seems to be a nationalist and a populist, but who knows, really? He seems too smart to be an AGW denialist, but like a man coming at you with a knife, I’ve got to assume he means it.

In conclusion, I can see Scribbler’s hopium and projection because I’ve done the work of weeding these things out of myself. I can see how candidates drop a smidgen of this and a smidgen of that in order to draw voters in by means of said hopium and projection. Voters believe because they want to believe; politicians work with them to help them cognitively undermine themselves.

“He’s a Constitutional Law professor. He’ll preserve our civil liberties.”

        And so it goes….

        • June 3, 2016 at 11:46 pm

It took me a while to realize that Fanney is actually an apologist – and a trojan horse. He’s got his own agenda and jealously guards it against detractors. We may all learn one day what he’s really trying to accomplish by endorsing the evil that he does and his deceptive lying and manipulation of the narrative. He’s definitely not one of us and never was. He’s trying desperately to ride the wave and doesn’t see it crashing against the wall.

I doubt Trump is as stupid as he sounds either. The asinine commentary (propaganda) he’s spewing for his political campaign is below sub-standard intelligence (which he isn’t). His audience isn’t bright enough to realize their being played (near perfectly) – but only because they’re pretty dumb themselves. He’s another trojan horse most likely.

The Trump Trojan – I like that (you heard it hear first, I think), although this sounds like a condom. A condom being prepared to fuck (up / over) everything.

So where does that leave us? The Evil Witch or the Trump Trojan or the Old Man? If this isn’t the Wizard of Oz dreamscape I don’t know what is.

          • June 5, 2016 at 9:19 am
Trojan Trump I can understand, a billionaire doesn’t achieve success by being “for the people”. But Scribbler? I disagree with him myself (teaches hopium), just don’t understand the Trojan comment.
            • June 5, 2016 at 10:23 am

              Consider these points:

              a) Endorses Hillary Clinton. I put this one first because it’s timely (obviously). Claims none of her (rather significant) issues warrant a non-vote. This endorsement alone is highly suspect imo because it reveals severe lack of judgement or concern for the welfare of the nation, awareness of the past (crimes and misdemeanors) and endorses the status-quo. This, all by itself is a Trojan endorsement. Hillary scares the hell out of thinking people and anyone that endorses Hillary is highly suspect.

              b) Claims renewables are carbon-neutral or even carbon sinks and ignores their continued dependency upon petroleum (mining, manufacturing, transportation, installation, maintenance, replacements). Also disregards the role of energy in civilizations development.

              c) Disallows any commentary regarding alternative energy and anything to do with its actual effects, returns, costs, impacts, requirements or dependencies. Does the same on topics like the collapse of civilization, extinction, etc.

              d) Hasn’t even once used the term sustainable in its proper definition, which means whatever narrative he’s promoting or endorsing when this comes up is inaccurate (greenwash).

              e) Hopium is constantly a part of the narrative (without merit in many cases but not all). Any detractors that point this out are swept away (removed). This is deliberate and is creating a false narrative / false consensus and an echo-chamber hopelessly mired in “belief” (versus facts).

              f) There is no real back-and-forth discussion / debate allowed. Fans only need apply for participation and are required to contribute only positive supporting points. It’s almost a prerequisite now to fawn.

              g) Ignores cross-effects on ecology and the human impact of civilization. Doesn’t even realize how incompatible a lot of what he’s advocating really means. There is almost never any mention of anything ‘bad’ about what civilization has actually done, the only targets are some industries.

There’s more, but I don’t imagine it matters enough to post here.

The primary narrative (beyond climate effects) includes no more fossil fuels, alternative energy and internal reform (trust the politicians) to combat climate change and endorsement of the status quo (to include more civilization) – and we’ll get through this (somehow). Ultimately, I think this narrative will backfire (thus the Trojan horse comment) because each point is based on “belief” and not facts.

Hopium (belief) dictates that climate change is solvable, politicians can fix this, we won’t need oil for any of it ever again, renewables will mine and manufacture themselves, and we have the time and resources required to fix everything. Definitely no need to be alarmed…

It’s not my intention to dissuade anyone from following sites they like – I only want the whole truth be told. The real narrative of what we’re dealing with (and what we’ve done – and what will be required of us) is very, very different then what most websites are willing (and even able) to publish. This is why I call for a planetary emergency like other sites do. His site is just like all the others, a whitewash of what happened, is happening and will happen. They’ve yet to come to grips with what it all means for humanity (but are trying) in a real way. His fans can’t see it and he doesn’t allow it when it comes up. The focus is very narrow and rather blind.

The Trojan is the narrative “permitted” and what we can do and the false hope this implies by the actions advocated. It ignores (by censorship) relevant facts and information. Fans think they’ve found a great site but haven’t realized that it fails on so many critical points.

There is a site called Hot Whopper which you may not know about. The author there has chosen a mission to point out the wrong-headed thinking found over on (climate change denial site) and does a very good job of it. The point here is it is important to reveal any flaws in both our acceptance and in the claims being made, and the implied hope, direction, actions and future they signify.

Ultimately, I realize it’s counterproductive to be a ‘detractor’ but it’s even worse to be a participant in the deception. We are in the home stretch for humanity now, it’s no time for games.

It’s laughable to think that Hilary and her $250k per speech fee would give a flying flip about Joe six pack. And then Trump with his $10B+ sympathizing with poor white males and their angst is laughable as well. The only positive I can see is that these people are competitive with each other and so perhaps one will take down the other and we’ll have one less a-hole in the world.

“Most Indians live in villages, where some 300-million don’t have access to electricity. Many don’t have running water either, which means long walks in scorching heat.”

Hillary Clinton Posted Names of Hidden Intelligence Officials On Her Email

This woman’s disregard for security is astounding. Imagine her being in charge of our nuclear arsenal – oh, wait, she already was! In cases of ‘decapitation of State’, the Secretary of State IS in charge of the country and the nuclear arsenal!

It’s unbelievable that there are Americans that are willing to ‘pass’ on this woman’s gross incompetence and negligence. Why isn’t this woman in jail for this and her many other crimes?

    • June 4, 2016 at 4:23 pm

The NSA can never again trust Mrs. Clinton. The CIA can never again trust Mrs. Clinton. The DIA can never again trust Mrs. Clinton. The Joint Chiefs of Staff can never again trust Mrs. Clinton. The FBI will certainly never again trust Mrs. Clinton. And, the Department of State KNOWS they can never trust Mrs. Clinton. We’re looking at a potential “Seven Days in May” situation here. Doesn’t anybody remember Alexander Haig announcing, “I’m in charge here at the White House”? Suppose Mrs. Clinton were to escalate a situation with potential nuclear ramifications. Does anybody really believe that Mrs. Clinton, and not the combined horsepower of those agencies, would be in charge? Or, how about an unforeseen situation which escalated to the point of nuclear brinkmanship. Could it be diffused by sheer trust in her Presidential leadership? Could she command the credibility needed to hold those dogs at bay? Jack Kennedy did it. I don’t think Mrs. Clinton could. She wouldn’t really be in charge.

  • June 4, 2016 at 11:44 am
One has to wonder what NORAD, SAC and/or the Joint Chiefs would do if Kraven Killary called for a launch against any target(s) – NTM if The Drumpf were do do likewise. If either get (s)elected, I’d consider this “New World Order 3.0” w/ NWO 2 being the (s)election by the Supremes in 2000.

On the plus side, GTNW is basically the only event capable of halting ongoing misery monkey mischief and ‘reversing’ runaway greenhouse. Either way the shot storm palsy out, we are all now fully immersed in an evolutionary reset. Hominids are fkn toast (fucked).

Hillary Comes Out as the War Party Candidate

The support for this war-mongering monster is absolutely unforgivable. Anybody that supports this woman is an enemy of the American people and the world.

No more war. No more military expansionism. No more exceptionalism. No more Clinton’s.

I would like to call upon President Obama, and all responsible leaders within the Democratic Party to demand that Hillary Clinton step down from her run for President of the United States. I base my request on the pure fact of Hillary’s past actions, proving beyond a doubt that she is thoroughly unfit for the job of Commander and Chief of this nation. Hillary has comprised herself beyond recognition. Hillary’s list of destruction; Libya, Syria, Haiti, Honduras, Iraq, are just a few failed projects of hers to mention. Hillary and Bill, through their Clinton Foundation is nothing short of being deemed a racketeering center, and self profit center for selling arms to dangerous nations, such as Saudi Arabia. Hillary is more concerned about Israel’s dominance over Palestinians, than she is concerned within her native nations deteriorating borders. Hillary’s disrespect of this nations security processes, is treasonous law breaking by any standard set before any other government employee heretofore. It is time to put a stop to this Clinton machine, that brings nothing but shame and disgrace to this country of ours.

    Here is a link that describes just some of her failed foreign policy decisions;

Thanks for your writing, I come here when I need a hard dose of reality. I don’t see any way that industrial civilization is going to voluntarily go away, and I think you believe the same. So why not ramp up coal and other fossil fuel production and put some people back to work for a while? Might as well have a bit more money in our pockets so we can enjoy ourselves while we snuff out all life on the planet. Plus we might as well just get it over with.

Nah, I can’t prescribe that because we don’t need “more”. Not even “more enjoyment” while we still can. We’ve been unjust enough already – to life, to future, to each other, to every living thing on the planet. Why advocate more of this injustice?

I don’t think the epitaph of humanity should be “They partied until the end”, but rather “They preserved what they could”. We’ve already been sacrificed on the altar of greed, why should we sacrifice everything else? Although dignity is a human concept (and so is self-respect), it’s all we have to offer in the end.
