Exxon Fucks Over Alaskans With the Help of The Supreme Court

The black robed thugs pretending to rule over the law just slashed the Exxon Valdez damage aware by several billion dollars. This is from the same company that posts record quarterly profits of $11.7 billion dollars.

This is unbelievable. The Supreme Court is corrupt to the core, the jury of our peers (the people) decided it should be $5 billion over a decade ago, and a federal appeals court in 1994 slashed it to $2.5 billion. Exxon has been dragging it’s feet for forever (in relative terms to the lives it has destroyed). Now it’s going to pay out a measly $15,000 per person (chicken feed, especially in today’s dollars).

No penalty at any price would have been “too much” for this corrupt company (and all of their ilk). The original award would have hardly made a dent in their yearly profits, or the billions upon billions upon billions they’ve raked in since this disaster.

I’d like to see Exxon burned to the ground (and the Supremes arrested for corruption). We could all piss on the ashes. This is another example of corporate / legal malfeasance (similar to the Bhopal disaster with Union Carbide) to screw the people over totally while avoiding all possible responsibility.  Exxon is still funding climate denial groups.

It should be becoming crystal clear who the real terrorists in this country are. I don’t believe in boycotts, but Exxon should feel the brunt of our disgust and anger, globally.

The damage done by the Supremes ‘just’ since 2000 is incalculable, unfathomable and unconscionable. Including facilitating and condoning torture, other war crimes, crimes against humanity and the planet, NTM the price (cost) of everything (as coupled to war profiter syndicate, wall street criminal speculators and CEO thieves, ETC ETC ETC. Somehow I’m NOT ‘getting a picture’ of the next (IMO pending) false-flag attack on (in) the US happening in DC much less at the USSC. What a pity.

The real tragedy is that all that phoney “clean up” that was done was just cosmetic. All you have to do is turn over the beach rocks, and there are tons of black tar underneath. The place is ruined beyond help. The state of Alaska was negligent by not requiring tugs to escort all oil tankers until they were in the open ocean.

    What a country, eh?

Exxon’s crime was on a par with Saddam’s torching of the Kuwaiti oil fields.

We’re witnessing the continuing battle between corporations and nature and so far, it looks like the corporations are winning. However, Mother Nature will have the last laugh! To the detriment of us all.
