Eaarth

I picked up a copy of Bill McKibben’s book, Eaarth and have now read through a little more then half of this book.

First off, it’s really a very good book on covering the difficulties now facing humanity.  I’ve never read McKibben’s books  before (really) but like his writing style, it’s easy to read and worth reading twice.  The breadth of what he covers is as complete as anything I’ve seen.

I’m now to the parts where he starts advocating remedies that we can take, which I think are pretty good.  In fact, I’m a bit thrilled to see something like this in print without a lot of the touchy-feely nonsense I’ve seen elsewhere.

If you haven’t read this, I suggest you do.  I’ll need to get my hands on some of McKibben’s other works, which are also reported to be pretty good.  There is a link on the left side of this blog where you can buy Eaarth through my affiliate Amazon account.

I realize that may seem like a commercial plug, but I’ve never done this before and truly am only saying, read the book.  It would be a great source for those who need to bone up on the changes we’ve wreaked upon the planet with some suggestions on what we can do about it.
