A DECLARATION OF DIVORCE FROM, AND IMPEACHMENT OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THESE UNITED STATES CURRENTLY IN POWER AS OF THIS OCTOBER, 2006 IN THE TWO HUNDREDTH AND TWENTY FIFTH YEAR OF THE PROMULGATION OF THE CONSTITUTION.
Also worth reading,
Once President Bush signed the new law on military tribunals, administration officials and Republican leaders in Congress wasted no time giving Americans a taste of the new order created by this unconstitutional act.
The timing of all of this is quite interesting too. Pre-election (as if the election is going to make one iota of difference) events are usually orchestrated to work in favor of the incumbents. But wait, there’s more:
Ohio voting rights activist and attorney, Bob Fitrakis, says the Ohio elections may have already been won, responding to reports of massive voter purges in Democratic precincts.
What a great country we live in, where the President can do whatever the hell he wants. Not satisfied with simply stealing two national elections, the President has also decided to steal space itself:
THE US has adopted a new space policy that rejects future arms-control agreements and claims a right to deny access to space to anyone “hostile to American interests”.
Ah yes, the old “hostile to American interests” gambit. Hmm, that might be just about anyone that doesn’t toe the political party line that ‘ol Bush is the Great White Hope for American and Democracy. This is the President that claims “We don’t torture“. Pardon me, while I go puke my guts out.
I’m not alone, Kenneth Olbermann has a great piece, Death of Habeas Corpus: “Your words are lies, Sir.”
But hey, is anybody listening? Just how much more abuse do we have to document to prove our case that this President is extremely dangerous to life, liberty and the future of every single American and world citizen?
A dictatorship – not only for America, but for Iraq, is now being considered. (We’re losing, in case you didn’t know, might this be why?). Ah yes, that bastion of democracy. Dictatorship. Which is constantly being exercised by this President with “signing statements” (now over 800).
Am I the only person that finds these turn of events absolutely unbelievable and totally unacceptable?
Okay, here’s a HUGE story to ponder over –
Bush Guts Posse Comitatus, Grabs National Guard!
If I told you that Congress was considering passing a law that gives the President — this President — the power, in the event of any “disaster, accident, or catastrophe” that he deems to require it, to:
– involuntarily take National Guard troops from State A and
– require them to work in State B for up to a year,
– in law enforcement rather than just traditional areas like disaster relief,
– over the objection of both state’s governors
would you believe it? Probably not. And you’d be right. Congress is not considering such a bill.
IT ALREADY PASSED SUCH A BILL THREE WEEKS AGO!
Is it clear as a ringing bell yet?
