Assassination Plot To Kill Vice President & Speaker

I’m playing catch-up here (Monday’s are often pretty busy for me) and Valerie submitted this in the comments (thank you), but it’s worthy of its own blog entry:

The mob Donald Trump sent to sack the Capitol on Jan. 6 intended to assassinate Vice President Mike Pence, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and others, admissions by some of those captured, as well as photographs, videos, texts and tweets show.

This was obvious early on – and yet we’re STILL not seeing this being reported from the investigators as we should. Meaning, why don’t they call this an attempted coup as they should? I would expect them to charge the attackers with far more then trespass and destruction of property when it’s been clear all along that there was motive, intent and opportunity to decapitate the Presidential line of succession and try to keep Traitor Trump in office.

It was inept beyond belief. Truly incompetent and poorly executed – but that’s irrelevant. What is relevant is what we know: planning, messaging, intent, attack and the breaching of the Capitol.

We came VERY close to a successful coup in any case – all that was needed was to keep Trump in power and to suspend the normal operations of government, even temporarily. Given just a few minutes, Trump could have declared martial law, and suspended the Constitution by arresting his “enemies” ensuring he was the only official with any power.

But Trump is a coward himself, and grossly inept and incompetent. Another more capable wanna-be fascist or dictator would have succeeded. All too easily.

Our current threat is not over since the Orange Traitor is still in office and still on power. If you haven’t noticed, many efforts are now being made to silence him, stop him and toss his miserable ass out of office. Trump has long ruled by Tweet, but he’s been permanently (and legally) banned from Twitter, suspended from Facebook and even the fomenting fearmongering site Parler was taken down for violating their own terms and agreements. All of this was perfectly legal (and way overdue).

But what isn’t happening is the traitorous Republicans are refusing to remove Trump via the 25th Amendment. I suspect they’ll do the same on another impeachment effort – we’ll see.

There will be more bad times ahead, no doubt. The delusional fan base of Trump supporters are doubling down, refusing to concede the election and turning on their own. Mike Pence is now their “traitor” for refusing to violate the Constitutional requirement to certify the Electoral College votes. Pence was one of Trump’s BIGGEST enablers and is definitely guilty of being Trump’s lap dog, but he rightly knew that if he did what was being demanded of him by Trump, he would be in Constitutional violation. Now, Pence is a primary target for the would-be assassins in Trump’s base, as is Pelosi and any other non-Trump supporter.

MAGA has revealed itself (for those that didn’t already know long since) that it is lawless, uncaring about the Constitution, and willing to kill and murder. This is EXACTLY what I have been warning about for several years. There is no moral, legal or ethical justification for their position. The 2020 Election was NOT stolen; there is no evidence of fraud; there is no wrong-doing; there is no cause for these ridiculous and rabid claims to overthrow the election and violate the Constitution.

Trump & Company, virtually ALL of his enablers and co-conspirators LIED about fraud. They lied BEFORE the Election and they’ve lied non-stop AFTER the election. Those lies were investigated, their claims were examined, and the Courts tossed them ALL OUT as the frauds that they were. All the calls for violence and insurrection are based on LIES.

This is why I do not support this boneheaded movement at all. Trump is a miserable piece of shit, who governs by lying to his constituents, and by bullying, harassing and browbeating other officials around the world. This is not a man who is capable to lead America. He is not worth supporting in any way, shape or form. He needs to be removed, ASAP before he inflicts even more damage. And I am repeating myself here, this is a warning I’ve been sharing for a long time. But now we have all the proof anyone could possibly need.

The majority of Americans do not support this coup attempt, and they do not support the MAGA movement. Ethically it has already been totally discredited. And now it will be destroyed by their own hand.
