It’s pretty clear now that Pakistan has been struck with a biblical-level apocalypse.  Refugee camps are overflowing, food is in severe short supply and thousands of people are being turned away from aid.

Mississippi Shrimpers Refuse to Trawl

The goal was to prove to the public that their fishing grounds are contaminated with both oil and dispersants. Their method was simple – they tied an absorbent rag to a weighted hook, dropped it overboard for a short duration of time, then pulled it up to find the results. The rags were covered in a brown oily substance that the fishermen identified as a mix of BP’s crude oil and toxic dispersants.

IPS watched Miller and Stewart conduct eight tests in various places around Mississippi Sound. One of them was less than a quarter mile from the mouth of Pass Christian Harbor, and another was less than one mile from a public beach. Every single test found the absorbent rags stained with brown oil.

Gulf Of Mexico Still In Crisis

What the Center’s team saw was horrific. “Touring the Gulf of Mexico this week I’ve seen firsthand how oil is still killing wildlife and fouling beaches and marshes,” said Kierán Suckling, the Center’s executive director. “This crisis is far from over.”

On Grand Isle, the team found beaches covered in oil. Pools of liquid oil lie on the surface, and oil mixed with sand is hardened in mats along the water’s edge. Some beaches appear fine from a distance but are actually sitting atop massive amounts of oil, which bubbled to the surface when the team walked across the sand. Digging into the sand with rubber gloves, the Center’s team struck oil just six inches below the clean-looking surface.

Crabs and birds continue to be covered in oil as they cross the beaches or land in the marshes. Fish and sea turtles are forced to swim through oil on the surface and below the surface as they look for food.

In short, a full four months post-explosion, the Gulf of Mexico is still an oily mess despite rosy assertions by oil companies and the Obama administration two weeks ago that most of the oil is gone. The Center’s survey supports the conclusion of independent scientists, who announced findings on Monday that 80 percent of the oil is still present and continues to foul the beaches, waters, marshes and wildlife of the Gulf.

I’m somewhat doubtful that very many people that read this blog are following the WikiLeaks story, but the reason why I think you should is it will set a very strong precedence for the future and who is willing to take on the war machine and other government corruption.

It is also a classic example of how character assassinations are being used to crush any dissent by those that would speak out.

The Pentagon is very angry that anybody would defy their murdering juggernaut and dare to publish any of their so-called “secret” machinations to encourage war.  Basically, officials have vowed to shut down WikiLeaks and serve a lesson to Assange.

Assange will not come out of this unscathed.  It is already too late for that.  Most likely, he will be forced to step down his profile quite a bit.  WikiLeaks will probably reduce their efforts at exposing government corruption, and effectively the thugs in charge of this planet will win again.

Because the rest of us did not support those who were trying.

The reason why this simple statement is true is it is simply not possible for the elite to stop everybody from speaking up.  It is not possible.

But because we refuse to speak up and out, and put a stop to the atrocities going on in our name, they continue to run amok, causing devastation and death all over the world.  They’ve got the rest of us kowtowed, afraid to do anything, and so we don’t.  And those that try are without our support.  We’re too busy living our lives, trying to stay alive, trying to keep our heads above water.

This is why the ongoing decline of our world continues, because the people cannot overcome their own disagreements and divisions and realize that we really are all in this together.  What they do to one country, they can do to ours.  What they do to one whistleblower, they can do to you.  Without support, everyone that steps up to the plate gets chopped down.

I think most people have given up, believing in the lies that we do not have the means to stop the grief being created.  To some degree, this is probably true — we don’t have the means, at least not through normal channels.  You have to realize  that these normal channels are the only “authorized” means of dissent.  They’re just as controlled and manipulated as everything else, rigged to ensure that your dissent can be effectively resisted and extinguished.

Wearing you out with years and years of legal blockades and wrangling behind bureaucratic bullshit, the methods permitted to the public to oppose government largess and malfeasance of all flavors and stripes are played directly into the hands of the elitists.  If WikiLeaks is not careful, they’ll find themselves ground up and spit out by the same system that is already rigged in favor of those who control it all.

Meanwhile, the war(s) will continue to be prosecuted with a vengeance and people will die.  Mothers, fathers, children, soldiers, civilians, innocents who did nothing wrong except live on the wrong soil, or be born to the wrong skin color or believe in the wrong religion.  They’re the real victims of this juggernaught, these agents of death and destruction and global domination.

Most of us don’t care about them, because we have our own lives to live, which are getting increasingly harder and harder.  What we don’t realize is that we still have incredibly cushy lives here compared to the rest of the world, thanks to the decades-long practice of economic exploitation and servitude demanded by the corpocracy, conducted through the U.S. military.  You don’t think it is any accident that we now occupy over 145 countries do you?  Or that this is really about the “fight for freedom and democracy”?

It’s about business, pure and simple, and exploitation and control, who owns what, who governs who, who calls the shots and makes sure that profits pour in as fast as humanly possible.  It’s about removing obstacles to global trade and finance, and exploiting raw resources and human labor as cheaply as possible.  This is why human life is actually cheap, the notion that human life is “valued” is a sick, sad joke in the rest of the world, and even here, depending on how far up the social ladder you live.

If you are poor, destitute and really down and out, you’re value is just barely above the value of a worm.  You can be crushed and extinguished with a simple misstep.

If you’re powerful and influential and make tons of money, society has been taught to value you as being important, essential and necessary.  But your life is no different then the poor in reality.  You’re the same, the only difference is how society has been brainwashed into deeming one over the other.

We worship money, power, control, influence and greed.  This is all part of the divide and conquer strategy deployed down through the ages. We’re oftentimes not bright enough to realize how easily manipulated we are.  The new American Tea Party “revolution” believes that they are different then all others before them, but they’re preaching the very same mantra every other group has tried before.

Does anyone really believe that this guy offers anything but more of the same?. This is the same dude caught funding anti-global warming campaigns too.  But what could you expect from Big Oil?. After you cut through the carefully crafted stories, you read about power, greed, corruption, abuse, a playboy lifestyle (realize that this article is designed to lay a trap upon your mind and lull you into acceptance for the man, and for that reason alone, cannot be trusted).
The Republicans .vs. the Democrats .vs. the Green Party .vs. the Libertarians .vs. the Constitution Party and on and on.  There isn’t a lick of difference in reality when you cut through the bullshit and rhetoric — they all want control so that they can be in charge, but the world won’t change one iota under their leadership.

And nobody asks why.

It should be obvious why.  The divisions that we embrace are what disempowers us.  It’s all part of the same script that keeps us blind and stupid, thinking that we can achieve what we cannot.  The script goes further to demonize our so-called “enemies”, manufactured boogie-men who have to be opposed by whatever costs, even if means wiping an entire country right off the map.  And I have only barely begun to mention the true script being played out.  The goal is to keep humanity divided against itself, playing both ends against the middle.

This is why you will find the wars funded by the same “side”, the same brokers and the same people, again and again.  They’re manipulating everything, profiting from the loss and the victories.  They don’t care who is ground up and spit out, or what children are being burned to death with white phosphorous or who’s houses are smashed to smithereens by tanks, or how agent-provocateurs betray the people they’ve befriended, or who’s economy is ruined.  Human lives and human freedoms to these people are like gnats flying in a hurricane.

And year after year, decade after decade, the human experiment in social structure continues on as before.  We remain divided, sworn “enemies” of each other, endless victims of their deception and deceit, their evil machinations and manipulations, staring down the barrel of a gun at each other.

We die by the hundreds of millions, ceaselessly ignorant of how we are throwing our lives away on their behalf, doing their bidding and blowing up the bridges, the towns, the homes, the lives of those whom they’ve declared on our behalf, “the enemy”.  We’re so fucking stupid we think we are doing ourselves a favor by these actions, spouting patriotic bullshit that declares only us as being valuable and important.

I hold very little hope for the human race, we’re not bright enough to wake the hell up and just say “No”.  Nobody can make you go, nobody can make you pull the trigger, nobody can make you believe their lies but you.  You have come to accept that what they preach is the divine truth of the world and the way it is “supposed to be”, marginalizing life itself, regulating the living, breathing, beating hearts of all others as being less deserving somehow then yourself.

You believe that we are different when we’re really not.  We all want the same things and we all have the same dreams, but many of us never get the chance, being born to the wrong skin color, the wrong religion or living in the wrong country, or being cursed with evil “leaders” or economic oppression of such magnitude that any dream you harbored is in daily reality, a living nightmare.

We’ve been told too, endlessly since birth, that this is the way the world is.  That may be true, but it is only true because we helped make it that way.  It does not have to be this way and never has.  There is enough resources to go around, enough food, land and shelter for all.  But because we insist on too much and so does every other government in the world, it ensures that there is not enough for everyone.  That’s the way it is designed to be, and the way it is.  Only through this manipulation of taking, and impoverishing some to improve others, do we even have an economy as we understand it today.

The world is deathly sick, ill with psychotic disorders and deadly beliefs.  But you do not have to go very far to find healthy individuals who are neither sick or diseased with greed and corruption.  They are bewildered at the apathy of the world, but they remain undiseased.

None of them are found in government or the halls of power, which corrupts men and women absolutely, warping them into evil caricatures of their former selves.  Whatever they once were, they no longer remain and giving themselves over to the darker side of evil, they lord over the rest with their positions of power and prestige and illusionary self-importance.

They’re no different then us in reality.  Giving the chance many of us will do the same in the workplace or by promotion, climbing over the backs of all others so that we can eat our slice of the creamed pie.  The healthy individuals don’t bother with such things, forsaking their “opportunities” to advance at the cost of others.  Most don’t work for anybody other them themselves, feeding their families by the sweat of their brow as it has been done since time immemorial.

The workplace is a structure designed to compete instead of serve.  Modeled after the rest of modern civilization, profits and economic control and market share are the main mantra’s each employee must serve.  Baal would be proud, as lordship over each little “kingdom” is practiced throughout the world.  Competition serves the powers-that-be quite well, creating oppression and division as we ruthlessly divide and conquer the world up again and again.

We believe that this is the way the world “works” and as it should be, giving us the standard of living which we have come to enjoy.  We ignore the trail of destruction we cause, the long chain of ruined and exploited lives reaching far over the horizon to foreign lands.  The hands of a small child, blistered and cracked from forced slavery are ours, as we buy exploited goods from big box stores promoting cheap goods.

There is a way out of this nightmare, but we’re not ready to hear it yet. It’s too foreign to our way of thinking, our way of life, how we live from day to day.  We cannot conceive of our own sovereignty and how we alone are truly the kings of our own lives.  We prefer servitude to the faceless masters of this Earth, the plantation owners that pull our strings and manipulate our world, even creating our beliefs.  We have become theirs, so thoroughly and so completely that concepts such as self-identity are trademarked with corporate logos.

There is a way out, but we’re not ready to hear it yet.

Minor “crimes” result in kidnapping by governments: 1,032 people kidnapped

The number of European Arrest Warrant detentions in Britain has risen 43-fold since 2004, when there were only 24 across the year. Many of those detained are accused of relatively minor crimes such as possessing cannabis or leaving petrol stations without paying.

They can spend long periods in jail – here and abroad – for crimes which might not even have been prosecuted in Britain. They can also be seized for offences which are not crimes in Britain.

Foreign prosecutors do not have to present evidence to the British courts, just demand the person be “surrendered”.

It can be revealed that a middle-aged motorist from Kent spent weeks in a British prison after Polish prosecutors sought his extradition on charges of possessing a forged car insurance certificate.

Patrick Reece-Edwards, 49, was stopped at a Polish border crossing. After questioning, he was allowed to drive off, but months later was seized at his home in Dartford under a European Arrest Warrant.

“He was kept in custody in Britain for weeks,” said his solicitor, Stephen Fidler. “After he was extradited to Poland, matters were resolved by payment of an administrative penalty with no criminal record.”

Another of Mr Fidler’s clients is fighting extradition to Romania after being convicted there of possessing a small quantity of cannabis. He is in his third month in a British prison and is likely to be there at least a further two months before his appeal against the European Arrest Warrant is heard. “Aside from the disproportionality of these cases, the costs to the British authorities are huge,” said Mr Fidler. “Those resources should go towards tackling serious crime in the UK, not minor crime abroad.”

Victimless crimes are being prosecuted across international boundaries by do-gooder fascists. In at least two of these reported examples (the article did say “many” are minor crimes), there is no victim.  No victim = no crime, yet millions of dollars are being expended to extradite these “criminals”, hold them for months and accomplish what, exactly?

More terrorism upon the people? More attacks upon personal freedoms?  Bankrupt some poor sod who will lose his home, his job, perhaps his wife while he awaits prosecution for months?

Politicians and police departments the world over are unbelievably stupid.  Fiscal and social responsibility are concepts they don’t understand.  The “crimes” they pursue are ridiculous.

But this what I predicted.  Governments and their agents would make more and more “criminals” as they seek ways and means to justify themselves and raise additional revenue.  How much you want to bet that the assets of these “criminals” are stolen by the State?  Or that the criminals are required to pay restitution to the State?

No-evidence extraditions has very serious consequences.  Effectively ANYBODY can be extradited for ANYTHING, even accusations simply made up.  No proof required, no evidence needed.

Unbelievable.  Why have the people of this planet put up with this crap?  Have we digressed back to the Dark Ages or what?  Why not just roll out the Inquisition and start burning people at the stake, bringing forth heresay and superstition as our “evidence”?

I keep harping on these themes of lost rights because it is dead obvious that we are going to turn over this planet to a generation (your children and mine) that will have nothing, and I mean nothing at all.  No rights, no freedom, no security, no peace, no health, no safe food to eat, nothing.  But they will have endless wars, overpopulation, pollution, destruction, misery and death all around as this collapse deepens, all orchestrated by an out-of-control State throughout the entire world on each continent.  They will be victims, if not by circumstances, then by design.

And we sit here and do nothing.

The attack on WikiLeaks has reached new heights.  The Pentagon and the Department of Defense, along with numerous government officials have all claimed that WikiLeaks recent disclosure of tens of thousands of war documents has caused a serious breach of security and threatens many lives.

Of course, there has been absolutely no proof if this at all, but politicians and pundits alike have jumped up and screamed the same tired claims over and over again.  For the record, these are the same slugs who have their fingers in the cookie jar, promote war and the occupation and have done next to nothing to further the cause of freedom, liberty, truth, justice or peace.  To say that they have a vested interest in keeping WikiLeaks quiet is an understatement.

Secrecy News once again jumped on the bandwagon with this article, proving as far as I am concerned, that the FAS Project on Government Secrecy is a joke — on you.  Pretending to be a website of truth, Aftergood once again slams head first into total lunacy.

Unable to put a stop to WikiLeaks so far, they’ve now gone after its founder, Julian Assange with new accusations of rape and molestation.  Whether Assange is guilty or not is unknown, but the timing of this “leak” is auspicious at best and for this reason alone, smacks of yet another government crackdown against freedom.

Time will tell (maybe) if these charges have any merit whatsoever (and likely, we will NEVER know the truth), but it is already dead obvious that they will not stop persecuting WikiLeaks to put a stop to their exposure of deep government corruption.

This is how it is always played out. Over the years, anybody that speaks out and generates too large a following is always taken down.  Always.

It might be through a engineered heart attack, or a plane crash or disease, or malicious character assassination attacks, but this tried and true method of coercion is played out over and over again.

Stockholm, Sweden (CNN) — Swedish authorities say they have revoked an arrest warrant that had alleged rape against the founder and editor of the whistle-blowing website WikiLeaks, Julian Assange.

Assange is “no longer wanted” and “is not suspected of rape,” Chief Prosecutor Eva Finne said in a statement posted on the agency’s official website Saturday. He is also no longer arrested in absentia, the statement said.

Many of you may not already know that a certain bullhorn-shouting “icon” is thought to be compromised. My own readings on this indicate it is probably true.   Those that obtain success in the fight for truth and freedom are often compromised and coerced into playing to a particular script.  Their very success makes them targets, and their weaknesses are then exploited and used as leverage against them.

It should be obvious that the truth is being widely suppressed.  We in America, the so-called lighthouse of freedom, should be able to easily speak the truth and learn the truth about any subject or topic. But just the opposite is true when it comes to government corruption, malfeasance and coverup (and many, many other topics).  Certain topics altogether are absolutely taboo.  Vested interests make absolutely certain that a pro-bias saturates the websites and forums and the media — or the subject is simply not discussed at all.

I’ve come to view American media as being the most controlled and manipulated sources of news (and scripted “opinion”) on the entire planet. Everything here is scripted, right down to the casual slacks worn by the weather woman and the “timing” of the newscasts.  You are spoon-fed literally everything shown on television.  The print media is not much better.  The views, opinions, commentary are all carefully scripted to project a certain image and worldview.

This image has become your image, the one you’ve adopted, largely without your complete awareness.  Americans view the world through xenophobic eyes, but this is a script they’ve been spoon-fed since birth. Our world view of life, living, politics, religion, war, the environment, pollution, the economy, all of it, is an extension of what we have read, seen and watched through television and the media.  We have long-since become exactly what they wanted us to be — indifferent, apathetic and disinterested in all the subjects and topics that really and truly matter.  Instead, we are fascinating with the mundane and the profane, creating our own “superheros” and “super-villians” in goosestep with the daily remedia programming.

They did this because it serves their interests to manipulate us and control us from being too passionate or too involved to disrupt their own (corrupt and corrosive) business interests.

You will see truth-speakers taken down again and again and again. It is very predictable.  Outspoken “opponents” (notice how the media calls them that) are given their tiny slice of fame up to a point.  But then they are disappeared, if not in life through their death, then in the media where you can no longer read or hear about them.  For you, they are as good as dead by this tactic.

This is one reason why the world really never changes, and why business as usual goes on and on and on, despite the pleas from the people.  Those who serve in the breech are ground up and spit out, oftentimes attacked, killed, accused, bankrupted and exhausted through the constant pressure and resistance that they’ve encountered.

You would think by now for example, that a real third-party would actually exist in this country — but it doesn’t.  You would also think that by now for example, that government corruption would be largely extinguished (or at least dealt with) — but it doesn’t.  You would think by now, through the countless hours of efforts of volunteers and grass roots organizations, that we would have real political reform — but we don’t.

I could go on and on and on about what we don’t have, but should, from the sheer effort and time expended already by tens of thousands of well-meaning people.  There is a clear reason why we don’t have any of these things today.  The leaders are being extinguished, through coercion, corruption and derailing their original interests, through threats and accusations, through their deaths (there have been hundreds and hundreds outright killed over the years) and through every conceivable method of quenching their focus, almost always through direct personal attacks against the leaders.

This WikiLeaks accusation smacks of this same ploy used so often before.  I will never know the truth and neither will you. (since Assange is no longer accused — we can correctly assume that a character assassination of Assange is / was the goal.  What could be worse then a rape charge?)

And that is the point to all of this today — you will never really know the truth about anything.  They really don’t want you to, because it exposes their corruption, their lies, their deceit, the manipulation and special interests, the favoritism taking place, the elite status enjoyed, the billions and billions of dollars exchanging hands with all the players — and the lives being lost, tossed tragically into the waste can of life through the manipulation and backroom deals taking place.

There are the little people and the players.  They will always keep it that way so that they can retain power and control.

The Assange’s of this world are under attack, everywhere through a complicit and corrupt media that really has no interest and even, no more rights themselves to tell you the truth.  They too are owned, through and through, playing to yet a larger script. Anybody that has done any research on who owns the media knows this to be true.

The sad truth is, we don’t have a free media in this country at all, which also means we don’t have a free people either, because we have become what the media has promoted.  Just look around and examine critically what you see.  We are the product of what they promoted.  We wear the same clothes, buy the same shoes, eat the same food as advertised.  These are the little things, but dig farther into it.  People espouse the same exact views that you’re watching on television. They express the same opinions, even adopting the ones by the corporations they work for.

These are not people who are unowned, but people that have adopted the worldviews and the lifestyles they’ve been scripted to accept. They are a product of manipulation and control that governs their daily lives.  This why it is now so easy to get Americans to adopt any particular view, even violent views such as torture, war, occupation or the death-culture we all live under.  It’s a no-brainer that we would not tolerate occupation here — but we’re quite willing to do this “there” to other people.  This dichotomy is part of the script we’ve been spoon-fed. We’re able to balance the obvious contradictions through media supported propaganda.

Don’t even let me get started on the plastic morality exhibited by Americans. In this country, it’s okay to protect the unborn, but go blow the hell out of children elsewhere.  But I’ll leave this to another post — just know for now that this too is all part of the script.

None of this is any accident. Almost all of life in America is scripted through religion, through the media, through government institutions (including schools and colleges), and through employment (the “workplace”).  It is only when you get away from these hallowed halls of brainwashing do you come to find a very different awareness of how the world really operates.

It’s too bad, in my opinion, that we don’t all just take a gigantic break for “this life” and step back and ponder what is really going on.  Many people have truly tried to make the world a better place, but our decline remains unchecked. If we could take such a time-out, we would eventually realize that we are being prevented from making the right choices about almost everything.  Instead, we’ve given up our freedom of choice and responsibility and delegated this to others, who have proven themselves to be inherently corrupt and indifferent.  We are now left with the results of that abdication.

Anyway, all I can say is “watch and see”.  They do not want us to have any real choices, or any real awareness for that matter, and will do absolutely anything to see that it does not happen.  It has been said many times before, that if the American people really understood the truth of things and what has been done to them, and in their name, that they would tear this country apart.  The truth that is being hidden from all of us is in fact, that bad.

To keep us from knowing, they have kept us from understanding, from hearing, from seeing and from being aware.  It’s far, far bigger then most people think, but it is just as far out of our reach.  Too few people are aware, and too few show any interests in unlearning all the lies and manipulations they’ve accepted as their own.  This makes this an impossible task then, to show even a glimmer of the size and scale and scope of this manipulation. So I don’t expect anything to change.

I wish I could be more upbeat about this, but experience tells me otherwise.  We’re still not ready for real change in this country despite all the rhetoric you’ve read (also part of the script).  Not yet.  And not in two year either when the next (s)election takes place.
