Death By A Thousand Cuts

Readers of this blog will probably agree that we are now daily witnessing the collapse of culture, civilization and the environment. These are all huge subject areas, deserving of entire libraries of books, documents and research. Combined, they present a fatal blow to mankind’s future and for that reason alone, their very scope, breadth and height, make them hard to fully comprehend, and even harder to try to rectify.

But there are many other issues at stake which I’ve tried to briefly share that are also severely impacting our future. The rising police state, tyranny and state-sponsored terrorism holds its own dire threats. In Living Under the Guillotine’s Blade, a few of these specific threats are outlined. I’ve been aware of these points for some time and have included them in the Future Prep series as very likely scenarios in the not-too-distant future.

Americans are is severe peril, facing death by a thousand cuts from a thousand sources. I wish I could write and speak with more authority about what is happening in other countries, but I can’t. I’m only able to convey what is being conveyed through Internet sources. But I suspect that bleed out is happening everywhere and in ways which I’m totally unaware.

The main thing to realize is we can’t fix the systems that created the problem in the first place. In other words, there is no such thing as a self-correcting human system because it’s a closed loop. Entropy eventually overcomes closed systems. Even though these human systems are multi-generational, they’ve only lasted as long as they have because of generational inheritance. But that doesn’t let us off the hook. Our children are facing a hellish world, inheritors of all the wrong and bad decisions that led up to this point.

We’re at a critical point in human history. We need to be making responsible, sound decisions right now. The future of the entire Earth and all of its inhabitants and lifeforms depends on this. That there will be a future is without doubt, but whether it will be habitable by humans is questionable.
