The Water On Your Land Is To Be The “Property” of the Federal Government

I think NOT. I won’t even say what this means for me or for you, or what you should do about it.
What the HELL is wrong with our politicians? These people are stupid beyond belief.
In April, 2009, Senator Feingold introduced (and gathered 24 co-sponsors already) legislation, S. 787, to fundamentally change the definition of “water” under control of the federal government:
SEC. 4. DEFINITION OF WATERS OF THE UNITED STATES.
Section 502 of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act (33 U.S.C. 1362) is amended–
(1) by striking paragraph (7);
(2) by redesignating paragraphs (8) through (25) as paragraphs (7) through (24), respectively; and
(3) by adding at the end the following:
`(25) WATERS OF THE UNITED STATES- The term `waters of the United States’ means all waters subject to the ebb and flow of the tide, the territorial seas, and all interstate and intrastate waters and their tributaries, including lakes, rivers, streams (including intermittent streams), mudflats, sandflats, wetlands, sloughs, prairie potholes, wet meadows, playa lakes, natural ponds, and all impoundments of the foregoing, to the fullest extent that these waters, or activities affecting these waters, are subject to the legislative power of Congress under the Constitution.’.
SEC. 5. CONFORMING AMENDMENTS.
The Federal Water Pollution Control Act (33 U.S.C. 1251 et seq.) is amended–
(1) by striking `navigable waters of the United States’ each place it appears and inserting `waters of the United States’;
(2) in section 304(l)(1) by striking `NAVIGABLE WATERS’ in the heading and inserting `WATERS OF THE UNITED STATES’; and
(3) by striking `navigable waters’ each place it appears and inserting `waters of the United States’.
If this monstrosity becomes law, then much of the private property in the United States (hundreds of millions of acres) becomes subject to (greater) control by the federal government.
The only “exception” appears to be RAIN, however, in my own state of Washington, these morons are trying to create legislation and a ‘permit’ process for rainwater collection.
Under state law, rainwater is considered a water resource of the state. To use the waters of the state, an individual or group is required to get permission from the Department of Ecology in the form of a water right permit. Washington State Drafts Rainwater Collection Rule
I’ve not looked, but it would not surprise me in the least if these idiots think they own the water from the sky in other states too.
This fits right in with the eminent domain bullshit practiced by the government. Now, the federal government seeks to seize land from private property owners for the creation of a 9/11 “monument” for Flight 93 that was shot down (I don’t buy the stupid story that it was crashed by a box cutter wielding Arab).
Got to keep up the pretense that America was “attacked”. Unbelievable.
They’ve probably got a “need” to seize the land lest somebody find some evidence of criminal wrong-doing by a certain agency.
Slightly related: I just saw some moron on television (ABC News) who had a justifiable beef — their claim (about 200 plaintiffs) against asbestos poisoning by W.R. Grace in Montana resulted in a “not guilty” verdict of company officials (despite 2,000 presently sick and over 200 now dead with asbestoses).
This guy was sick too, but the idiot made a prime time television “foot in the mouth” comment that makes him a complete (but sick) moron. He said, “These guys are just as responsible as the Taliban attacking the World Trade Center on 9/11″.
The Taliban? Attacked the World Trade Center? I don’t mean to distract from the idiotic seizures from above, but how stupid are people these days? (don’t answer that).
Lonewolf pointed out in recent commentary — the people have NO RIGHTS in this God forsaken country. And they don’t.
But maybe in part it’s because its populated by a bunch of complete idiots and morons who are stampeding to KFC for their free “meal” of hormone-injected death-food. Or maybe it’s because we gave up governing this country and stupidly trusted our (s)elected “officials” too long while they incrementally stoled even the ground and water beneath our feet.

Except instead of seeking to divert water from a stream, she sought to collect rain that fell upon the roof of her house and greenhouse. To her surprise, the state engineer opposed her application, arguing that other water users already had locked up the right to use the rain. The Colorado Water Court agreed, and Kris was denied the right to store a few barrels of rainwater. If she persisted with rain harvesting, she would be subject to fines of up to $500 per day. Apparently, the legal minds in Colorado have been smoking too much crack. A roof is a ‘tributary’ (stream). But your ‘tributary’ is illegal for rainwater collection and you can’t grow food with it either.
If they’d tried this stupidity on me, I’d have challenged these scumsucking bottom feeders to take my rainwater away. Over my dead body. I’m not kidding.

Permanent resource war is about much more than ‘just’ energy, metals, and minerals. It’s war on all life’s ‘choke points’ itself. All out war (is there any other kind?) Including on you and yours.
In the US west (and probably elsewhere), touch/take a mans water and he’s comin’ for ya. Same as for woman, kids, horse, food, guns, ETC. (for me, includes my dog) There’s probably been more water wars in the past 100 years out here than in all of Afghani history. Plenty of practice defending ‘property’ in these ‘er parts.

Another step toward the idea that if everything that can possibly have ownership assigned to it is owned by someone and a price is attached then the issue of resource depletion/”management” will take care of itself via prices and supply/demand economics…

Maryland recently passed a law specifically saying that one’s rain water is one’s own. And, if you go to their indoctrination session and get your name on their lists, they’ll even give you money off collection systems.

Seems to me that we have a government run amok. Our govt. is out of control,living in delusion. I know that they know that the hottest selling item in the US for the past 18 months is ammunition, followed closely by guns. Why do you suppose that is. All we need is a trigger(black swan)event, and all them guns are going to be put into use. And as powerful as our army is, there is only 5 million of them, and hell, they couldn’t stop the little “Rodney King” riot in LA, what makes them think they can stop a general uprising in every city in the country????

They can’t. They can’t even win in Iraq, or Afghanistan (or Vietnam). A guerrilla force is impossible to beat.
Lots of people think that we are outgunned — but it’s the other way around. We may not have tanks, planes and bombs, but we’ve got the population itself (enough that count) and the land. We know where these fascists live - and they know we know that.
There is no doubt that a showdown is coming and that many are going to die. But it won’t be one sided like it is (largely) elsewhere. “Insurgents” abound in this country (as they should).
Governments operate on a principle of fear, force and coercion. If you examine this government in particular, they have built for themselves a wide array of layered ‘control’ and self-protection (for themselves if you look closely). The assumption is that this is sufficient to control and contain the population.
But it is not true, as vulnerabilities abound. There is a growing number of people who have “nothing left to lose” anymore, not even their lives. The constant level of intrusion, surveillance, control, legislation, laws, permits, permission slips, licenses and all of the rest (illegal search and seizure) have all failed to instill within portions of the population the need to “just conform”.
Now, many that conformed are desperate, homeless, bankrupt and hungry, and it’s getting worse.
Most do conform, and these are the ones who enable the government to get away with what it does (which is bloody murder, literally and figuratively). They look the other way — or work for these thugs in one capacity or another, so you know where their bread is buttered.
Pay particular attention to the private security (mercenary) and ‘law enforcement’ roles in the future. New jobs are opening up for exactly these rolls, all meant to tighten control farther and farther down on the people (putting the screws to you).
The Bush Administration and now Obama, have endorsed a snitch-system throughout the country, using doctors, truckers, delivery drivers, teachers and so many more. While not ’security’, they are a layer in the surveillance society of America that nobody likes to talk about.
We’re not there yet (revolution), but the forward momentum of fascism is unstoppable (republics always turn into democracy and democracy into fascism) — and fascism always results in revolution. And then the process repeats itself.
The good news is civilization will probably collapse as a result of this final revolution. This is because the resources are running out and the environment itself is in collapse. These two (very large) factors alone guarantee several things:
a) fascism (attempts to keep control) as competition for resources increases;
b) the people eventually revolt, leading to revolution and rebellion;
c) TEOTWAWKI — the end of the world as we know it “begins”. We’re already there and it will only increase from here on out;
At this time in history, we will “rinse, repeat” what has gone on before. But — in my collapse series I point out that we will also develop bio-zones (already underway now) for human habitation where a semblance of “normal life” can go on (somewhat). These will be tightly controlled and policed and viciously protected.
Unstated yet is how die-off is going to make this all “necessary” for TPTB. Even many of the people will want these measures as they will be deluded (like now) into believing it provides for them security, safety and longevity. But governments are quick to turn against their own people, so this is no guarantee that even those that support them or work for them or go along with their pograms (genocide) are actually safe. The truth is, you’re no good unless you serve some ‘useful purpose’. Ask anybody that’s lost everything, or is poor. The System caters to wealth, power, money, influence or resources (which includes you, you are a resource but only as long as you can be their slave).
On the other side of “all this” is a future world where there is limited human habitation, those that survived revolution, war, environmental collapse, genocide and massive levels of death and suffering. I do expect that some humans will survive, but not very many (less then a million, worldwide).
This is not that far off in reality. In terms of years, this can all happen and probably will within 100 years. In 200 years or so, human population on Earth will probably number less then 500,000. But it is the next 50 years that has me the most concerned, because all of these things will be well underway by then. Most likely, we’ll see revolution in less then ten years, and as early as this fall / winter.
A bleak future for sure, but not something that can be avoided. Too much momentum and inertia on resource consumption and damage, environmental degradation and collapse and overpopulation dictate this (guaranteed).
The promises of “change” to avoid all this (or any of this) are all basically bogus claims, I’ve gone into many of them here before.
There are no solutions. Civilization itself is the problem, and although long offered as the “solution”, it has created far more problems and suffering then it can ever solve.

Water, water everywhere but not a drop to drink. Thats the definition of Florida where I lived for 40 years. Surrounded by water and much of the land itself is below sea level but none of the water is drinkable for various reasons. I know of people that spent elaborately on extensive systems to capture the rainwater from their roofs during the torrential daily summer downpours only to have a nosey, lifeless neighbor snitch to the EPA who would slam them instantly for, are you ready?, *water piracy*. Yes indeed, if the water lands on your roof and cascades to the ground or ends up in a rain barrel, no problem. But if you install gutters, downspouts, piping, etc., to a central holding tank and the authorities find out you will be in a world of hurt. I’ve heard rumors of $500/day fines, etc. Over the past couple decades the gov’t has been going around the area buying up all the land and outright stealing land that owners do not want to sell under the guise of *wetlands*, *wildlife habitat* and so forth to where there is little left for private ownership. Where do you think the gov’t gets the $$$ to buy up this land? From the very people they are buying the land from - the taxpayers.
Yes, life in the US is now at an insane pitch from all angles and seriously there is no way to fix it. Frankly, there are way too many people with their heads in their asses and the logical people cannot fix them. They have to be culled. This country will never gain any semblence of normalcy until a huge amount of the disease is excised and the disease is braindead humans. Politicians are simply symptoms of the disease of braindead humans. Eliminate the braindead humans and the criminal politicians will evaporate.
You have to assume thugs are everywhere, because in reality they are. Everyday criminal thugs, gov’t thugs, and the snitches that curry favor from the various thugs, they are all working against you. Your job, is to stay out of the way of all of them and cultivate your skills, and survive - and thrive, the best that you can. Don’t look around and think, “Things are so bad, they simply HAVE to get better.”, but rather, “Wow, things are pretty bad right now but they are going to get much, much worse.”, then prepare accordingly.

Ghost - I assume thugs are registered on this board. They’ve infiltrated everything else (including all blogs / forums / websites with interactive capabilities, and all groups, communities, etc.).
If we can’t even capture rainwater — we’ve got far too many people, far too many government no-accounts, and far too many fingers into the ‘pie’.
Lonewolf — There is little point to posting a personal manifesto here (or your death sentence), mostly because it sure won’t help (not even you, other then opportunity to vent).
I understand your pain (more then anybody else on this board, because I know what’s going on). We all have our line in the sand, some of us have thought about it a lot more then others, but everybody is going to have to ‘deal with it’ as collapse progresses.
Remember (everyone), collapse is when it happens to YOU. It need not and probably WON’T be a widespread event affecting everyone, it’s when it crashes down upon you one by one, and probably from some area you didn’t expect it.
There are indeed some things (plenty of things) worth dying for. But they are NOT the “patriotic claims” you’ve heard since birth. Steal a man’s water and you’ve got a war on your hands. Steal his food, his land, his kids, his wife, his liberty, his freedom — any of these things are certainly worth dying for, because there is “no life” after these things be gone (or dead, destroyed or kidnapped).
This is why there are ‘insurgents’ and ‘terrorists’ in other nations. It goes without saying but I say it clearly here: we killed their families, destroyed their homes, invaded their land, destroyed their economy and on and on and on, leaving them with literally nothing left. And then we (some of us) stupidly wonder why they fight back.
Too many in America compromise, believing that they will gain it all back if they just knuckle under, which never leads to more freedom, always less.
I definitely do not see it this way. We are certainly less free and more threatened individually and collectively then ever before. We’re not gaining ground (yet), we’re still losing ground and this will continue (no doubt) for quite some time, because that line in the sand continues to be moved farther and farther back (everybody is doing this, otherwise, we’d already have revolution in this country).
It’s coming, but not yet.

I thot twice before posting - but damn it - I’m me. Nobody can change that - even me even if I did want to. And, I’m totally fucked no matter what I do or don’t do (as is everyone BTW).
I’ve been serially betrayed by everything I once thought I knew and especially by my very species.
What Law, what justice, what ‘freedom’, liberty, rights?
The only rights I have (or anyone) are those I choose to enforce. ETC.

With each new tax or tax increase, with each price hike, with each new rule, each of us creeps ever closer to that terrible point - threshold of rage.
Its an individual decision, to refuse to take anymore, from people that have no right to make demands.
If I make a demand on you I fully expect you to enact justice, therefore, I do not make such demands.
Jack booted thugs working under the guise of *law* or other gov’t thugs working under the guise of *just doin’ my job man*, ALL will fail eventually.
But many of *us* will fail first, as we cower, fearful of the real global terrorists that claim to be our servants, our leaders, our representatives, to be victimized by them over and over.
And this, they call freedom.
It is not.
There is no such thing as *more* free.
There is no such thing as one country being freer than another.
Just as there is no such thing as being more pregnant, there is no such thing as being more free.
There is just freedom, and enslavement.
Varying degrees of enslavement.
I have not lived one day of my 54 years as a free man, always instead partially enslaved.
