Lutein is the active carotenoid in this
potent, natural source antioxidant. It is naturally derived from
marigold flowers and contains a normal blend of carotenoids including:
Zeaxanthin and Cryptoxanthin. Lutein
is the primary carotenoid found in the central part of the retina called
the macula. Lutein helps to protect the retina of the eye from sunlight
and to help prevent macula degeneration, the most common cause of
blindness in the elderly.*
