Price Comparison
Our listed retail prices are lower then ALL of our competitors, bar none. Even with shipping charges added (if any), our delivered prices are still lower. We are not aware of any other seller of bulk dehydrated or freeze dried foods that even comes close to our pricing.
Many people have found this out - we invite you to compare the actual delivered price you would pay from any other company to ours. Don't be fooled by false claims and advertisements!
Some competitors claim "free shipping" but we advise you to read their fine print! Free shipping on what? $100 minimums. We have free shipping on $100 minimums. With our low product prices to start with, our final delivered costs can be substantially lower then our competitors.
Some competitors offer a "claimed" lower shipping rate - while charging 3 or even 4 times our product prices. What they're doing is stacking the deck by inflating the product prices substantially, hoping you aren't smart enough to notice! This means that everyone is paying grossly inflated product prices in every shipping zone in America by these companies. We've got some samples of this below:

The above comparison represents the "hundred weight" shipping rates, using UPS delivery and qualifying for the hundred weight delivery rates (200 lbs minimum). For freight orders (over 1,000 lbs) the shipping is even less, saving you even more money over our competitors.
The saving are significant! And this is only on five items! Larger orders with more items will save even more!
But not everyone ships 1,000 lbs + orders, or even 250 lbs orders. How do our prices stack up on lighter orders? Much better!
First off, you must be careful about container size, some products appear lower in cost, but are much smaller in serving sizes. A #10 can is a large coffee can size, a #2.5 can is a large soup can size. But not all our competitors products are actually marked what size they come in (ours are). Comparison shopping requires you to be sure you're comparing the same sizes and same quantitites and of course, the same products.
And example of this is the hot cocoa offered by Honeyville Grain. Their cans offer only 8 servings each. Their case price is also for the small cans. No effective comparisms can be made for their cocoa prices unless you want to compute price per ounce. Their cans have 8 servings each, our #2.5 cans have 20 servings each. And our #10 cans have 96 servings each.
Other strange things are egg prices / quantities. Honeyville offers 2.25 lbs (36 ounces) of dried powdered eggs, with 170 servings. Our #10 can contains 3 lbs (48 ounces) and makes 108 eggs. We can't explain how they get more eggs from less product weight.

* this cost includes our $3 order handling fee! We still cost less!
As shown above, we are lower cost on every single zone, even zone 8 (price per ounce). A lot cheaper, but you have to compare actual cost per ounce to understand this. Carry this out on any size order and the savings with Survival Acres gets larger and larger. This was on only 3 items, the savings just grow and grow on even larger orders!
Low shipping charges seems cheap, but is it? Not always, not when you consider what you're actually getting. In almost all cases, actual order costs is actually less by paying the actual shipping rates. More product means more meals and more food servings, all at a lower cost to you. Our shipping isn't padded like the others are, nor are our prices, we've had low, low prices for over 11 years now. Shipping charges are actual costs. With higher oil prices, shipping has gone sky high. We're right up front about these costs to you too.
It's possible to carry this comparism out on many other products (and competitors). In case after case, we are less. The savings grow with larger orders, saving you hundreds or even thousands of dollars!
Our freeze dried food lines from Mountain House, Alpine Aire and Richmoor offers free shipping! We do charge a flat $3 handling fee on all orders, but that's all. This doesn't even remotely come close to paying for our actual shipping costs that we absorb. Even a small $100 freeze dried food order can cost up to $15 - $23 for us to ship, which we pay for. And with our low product prices, we still offer you the best deals around for high quality, low cost storable foods!
Our dehydrated food plans are an excellent example of our low costs. We can say with assurance, we have never seen anyone offer the same plans for our prices. Nobody! Sure, there are actual shipping charges associated, but we're still lower. We've seen cases where you could buy two of our food plans with shipping for the price of their one. Why pay more and get less from those other guys?
Our packages are bigger, better, and with a great variety, all at lower prices then those who try to copy us!
Still don't believe us? In case after case, we have compared our packages to our competition. Here's a recent example we found: This is supposed to be a "10 year unit" supposedly weighing in at 7,000 lbs. But is this true? We've run the actual item numbers for these products and put them into our database. This package only weighs in at 3569 pounds which is "remarkable" because it's 3431 lbs less then advertised! and costs $800 more then our prices for the exact same items! Update: seems our claim received some notice, now they reduced the weight and the food quantity, but still claim 10 years. Go figure!
Get real. A REAL 10 year food supply is HUGE. Ours is 994 #10 cans, 17 #2.5 cans and case of honey, and is simply, the very best in the entire industry, bar none. We offer in this package the best of the best from the best companies in the industry. This unit has the best freeze dried and the best dehydrated foods available.
Even our 4 year food supply weighs in at 1803 lbs and is a fantastic deal. Extend this out by increasing the number of units and a real 10 year supply of dehydrated food would weigh almost 5,000 lbs! You simply CANNOT skimp on product and number of servings and pretend it's going to somehow last longer then it possibly can.
Someone recently told us about the "Family Unit" sold for $4358.95 by a would-be competitor. We priced everything out, right down to the last item, and can offer the exact same package for only $1927.11. That's a $2431.84 savings!
We could do this all day long and into next week (and have, this is why this page exists). In case after case, what we have found higher prices and a lot of misrepresentation (and worse). Go look for yourself, you will be shocked at what people are claiming and what you're actually getting. You get what you pay for, don't forget! It's simple economics, and if something looks too good to be true -- it probably is.
We see a lot of this kind of thing in this industry. We have been doing this for over 13 years now and many companies come and go. Our advice to you is to make sure you know what you're actually getting.
Why do we do it? Because we can. We keep our overhead as low as possible and pass the savings on to you! We've specialized in the food industry with the biggest selections and the best prices, and have offered great deals on food items and packages to thousands of satisfied customers. We can do the same for you too!
