What Lies Beneath (all the lies and disinformation)

There is always more in the news on climate. And it is always bad – if you toss out the false claims, invisible technology and false hopium that is usually interjected into these articles.

If you just stick to the known facts, you will quickly realize that we’re still not being told the whole scope of the problem facing humanity. By now, you will probably also realize that this withholding has been deliberate for many, many years.

Eyewitness to the Future

There’s a few good points in this article I’d recommend you read – This is how your world could end

At first, I thought this was going to be another pathetic attempt to describe how we’re going to survive the warming of the planet. And in some ways, it does exactly that, while getting several of the projections off by several decades (it won’t be 2050, more like 2020). But it also explains a few critical points worth reading (while missing things like wet-bulb temperatures and global crop losses and starvation at just 4C):

Burning Fossil Fuels Almost Ended All Live On Earth

This is a pretty decent article, very informative: Burning Fossil Fuels Almost Ended All Life on Earth

Even this author gets it. Hardly any plant life will exist above 40C – which means no food for anything else. Uh oh, humans too? Yes.

This is part of the true narrative that is being continually suppressed. The oil industry has long known, more so than anybody else that the extraction and burning of fossil fuels was the worst thing humans could probably do (a nearly endless number of documents and papers exist here). But none of this evidence gathered over many decades seemed to matter, the practice of oil extraction and burning was extolled throughout the entire world, leading to planet to the edge of extinction.

More Scientific Inaccuracies (and deceptions)

There’s been a “rebuttal” of sorts to the recent “Uninhabited Earth” article published by the New York Magazine.

Scientists explain what New York Magazine article on “The Uninhabitable Earth” gets wrong

I read through this collection of comments and the stunning denial of reality was atypical – of the general public, but scientists? Seriously? Clearly, they’re responding exactly like the general public does, reactionary, cherry-picking and denying their own previously published comments. What does this mean? Hard to say, I’d like to see where these reviewers get (all) their paychecks from. Especially now that the Trump Administration has basically ordered that the topic of climate change to be taboo.

Scientist Silencing Commentary

As is nearly always the case with my commentary, my latest attempt to awaken climate scientists to their own failures has gone unpublished. This time by Paul Beckwith. He’s apparently decided to sweep comments that he does not like or that point out flaws from his site. As much as I previously respect the man, I continue to find this sort of ‘silencing dissent’ reprehensible and have lost all respect for him.

Stop hoping we can fix global warming by pulling carbon out of the air – Scientists warn of “dire consequences for food production or the biosphere”

Desdemona posted this title and topic (which I highly recommend you read), a topic near and dear to the message I’ve long stated here. The future means starvation – for billions.

Nobody is listening to this message. It’s rather stunning.

Even the majority of scientists themselves are really not listening. Obviously, a few are, but it’s an appalling small number.

Up to Two-Thirds of SoCal Beaches May Disappear by 2100, USGS Predicts

Once again, the predictions you’ll read about here are woefully underestimated. But even at these low estimates, this might raise some consternation (and not much else):

Up to Two-Thirds of SoCal Beaches May Disappear by 2100, USGS Predicts

In a new study released on March 27, 2017, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) predicts that 31 to 67 percent of Southern California’s beaches may be completely eroded away by the year 2100, based on sea level rise of one to two meters. Once the sand is gone, exposed bedrock may be all that’s left.

Flirting With Disaster

Oh boy.

The Heartland Institute plans on contacting EVERY science teacher in the country. To do what, might you ask? To encouraging these teachers to consider and teach explanations for global warming that reject humans’ role in a changing climate.

This boils my blood, because the Heartland Institute has a long, long history of despicable practices and deceit. Their lies about the scientific consensus has long been taken to task, and yet they’re still regurgitation this crap and insisting this is taught to every child in the country. They’re siezing the political opportunity generated by the Trumpanzees and Trumpatollah and the miserable failure of the whore media which sold out America long ago.

Earth’s Holds ‘Apocalyptic’ Warning About Climate Change, Say Scientists

Over 90% of all life wiped out. Rising temperatures of 8 to 11°C triggering huge methane releases. This melted vast amounts of methane that had been trapped in the permafrost and sea floor, causing temperatures to soar even further to levels “lethal to most life on land and in the oceans”.

It happened before, and it can happen again. Some of the names you’ve heard before are mentioned in this article, Peter Wadhams, who remains concerned about a major methane release that could happen in a blink of an eye (geologically speaking).
