Doomer Porn and Real “Fiction”

In case you didn’t know, “Robert Scribbler” is a fiction writer turned climate-science writer.¬† Usually he sticks to climate related articles, but he’s got a supposed fiction story about what it’s like in 2090 in Florida posted on his blog. It’s an entertaining climate-doom read.

But it is inaccurate and grossly underplays what it’s really going to be like by 2090.

Die Off – Harbinger of Things To Come

Scientists are claiming that we are on the verge of the 6th Great Extinction, but I beg to differ. We passed this ‘verge’ many years ago as evidenced by the mass die-offs and extinctions already recorded. What we are now witnessing all over the world is rapidly accelerating extinction events in the Earth’s biosphere.

If these other lifeforms can no longer survive here – due to starvation, temperature, drought, depredation or environmental toxins, then we can’t live here either. It’s a simple concept with one cause. We are just as dependent upon a healthy environment as they are. Since humans are the root cause of this extinction, it is up to humans to change, or face self-annihilation too.

The Dying Earth and The Future Of Mankind

A 17 second video showing what’s happening during the summer heat shift, from 1958 to now. Worth watching several times:

This summer (2015) has seen a huge shift in summer temperatures. Madrid, Spain broke summer temperature records in June and July, Germany did too, England, Netherlands, Japan, Hong Kong, Egypt and Washington state (and many more, I’m not going to bother trying to list them all, just know, “it’s too damned hot”).

Survivable IPCC projections based on science fiction – reality is far worse

For those few of you that actually give a damn about this extremely important topic, I strongly suggest you watch this video. Perhaps 2 or 3 times and listen carefully. Five minutes.

If your browser does not support the link above, try this one:

The significance of this is this:

a) Virtually ALL of the projections used to date, and shared with industry, government, defense and world leaders contains carbon capture technology provision that does not exist (which literally means the projections are pure “science fiction”).

What You Won’t Hear – But Should

An interesting, but disingenuous article on What It Would Really Take to Reverse Climate Change.

I’m no longer astounded by the lack of insight these researchers have. This sort of misguided assumptions and false hopium is being reported everywhere, but they’re dead wrong.

For those who don’t want to wade through the propaganda in the link above, the short to-the-point synopsis:

Surviving the Horde

They were munching, marching, stumbling, crowding through everything — eating their way down to the last grain and morsels to be found. I couldn’t believe my eyes!

Death was arriving at my door, what was I to do? I’m afraid, very afraid, they’re going to find me, crunch my bones, eat my flesh, steal my food. I am dead… dead…

Whose Going to Live and Whose Going To Die?

I’m going to venture into a very sensitive area that I have yet to cover in detail. Fair warning: this subject matter is going to strike very hard at the heart of many cherished belief systems, especially held by Americans. Read on at your own risk.

The collapse of civilization is a broad euphemism for masses of dead people in most parts of the world. Let’s not kid ourselves here. When our civilization collapses, it is going to mean massive body counts and death by violent means. It will also mean death by disease, starvation and more then a few self-inflictions.

Collapse Survival On A Budget – Part II

In Part I, I outlined the need for skills, experience, knowledge and sound judgment as part of your collapse survival preparations. These are not things you can disregard and are some of the most important steps you can take to help yourself and your loved ones.

In Part II, I will once again put the collapse framework in place on collapse survival. This framework is the basic survival outline of pre-collapse, collapse and post-collapse already covered on this blog in various places.

The Answer

It has been my intention by writing this blog to take my efforts into a specific direction. This blog has been an ongoing essay in bits and pieces dealing  with life, liberty, climate, civilization and the future. A future that is not going to turn out like many have been taught to expect.

Only by understanding the past and how we arrived at this point does the present make any sense.

Starve or Die

A lot of people mistakenly believe that they are being prudent by waiting for more confirmation of an impending crisis before they get serious about their personal preparations. Frankly, I think that this is a fatal mistake based upon these reasons:

1) The supply and demand system which provides all of us our goods does not have the capacity or resilience to deal with mass panic buying. During Y2K, in my business (food), backlogs reached 10 months in 1998. Less then 2% of the population responded to the Y2K threat.
