Survival Skills

I have long pondered the mechanics of survival required in today’s world. There is a primitive movement afoot that seeks to unlearn these mechanics, or at least be set free (if only temporarily). While I can admire their ardour, I can’t respect their position entirely. Mostly because it romanticizes the reality of living primitively. It’s not easy, in fact, it’s darned hard.

The Stern Report

This is worth reading, revealing how serious global climate change really is. Right now, 1/20th of the world’s population is at risk from rising sea levels and melting glaciers. That’s a gigantic number.

Not that it is any surprise to me, but I very often (almost always) find worthy news on offshore websites. The US, one of the worlds worst polluters and energy consumers, refuses to address these issues on a significant level.

Warning – November 7th

This blog has only has a handful of readers, which are probably as well informed as any. Even if that is the case and only a few people read this message, I’m going to issue a warning regarding the November 7th mid-term elections.

An incredible amount of spin and hubris is already being hyped up by the Bush Administration (and the dipshit himself) and the MSM regarding the “election”. We are already being warned that Hugo Chavez is behind some of the Democratic “swing”. This truly unbelievable bullshit story is being spun up by the White House to try and lay “blame” for their failures.

Bush Moves Towards Martial Law

This is an exact quote:

In a stealth maneuver, President Bush has signed into law a provision which, according to Senator Patrick Leahy (D-Vermont), will actually encourage the President to declare federal martial law (1). It does so by revising the Insurrection Act, a set of laws that limits the President’s ability to deploy troops within the United States. The Insurrection Act (10 U.S.C.331 -335) has historically, along with the Posse Comitatus Act (18 U.S.C.1385), helped to enforce strict prohibitions on military involvement in domestic law enforcement. With one cloaked swipe of his pen, Bush is seeking to undo those prohibitions.

Raping Faster

Image of the world’s largest digging machine. Now we can do it faster.

Still missing in all the dialogue, decisions and directions being taken by humans, is the now blatantly obvious need to slow down, scale down and step back.  Use less, build less, grow less.  This is the only path to sustainability and human survival (which is now highly doubtful).
The continued “advancement” of human civilization is absolutely destroying the planet, faster and faster.  Gigantic machines, space warfare and our consumer society aside, the real problem is us and our repeated failure to understand the human role in the global ecosystems.

From Freedom To Fascism

If you ever wanted to understand how any of these things were connected – federal reserve, fractional reserve banking, taxation, facism, chip implants, privacy, new world order, slavery, then take the time to watch this video by Aaron Russo.

It’s (probably) too late to stop these rotten bastards, I’ve been studying this for nearly 20 years and we’ve only lost far more ground then we have gained. The NWO agenda just contnues to march ahead despite our best efforts, but that doesn’t mean you should stop trying.  It means that a showdown is coming when millions of Americans simply refuse to step back one more inch.  That is exactly what you must prepare for.

Environmental Collapse

More bad news on the environment, the greenland ice sheet continues to melt at alarming rates, the Antartic ozone hole reaches record proportions. For some, extreme climate change will be a double whammy, especially in the Pacific Northwest. The drought in the Western United States will have severe impact upon food production for the entire nation.

The researchers took 10 international agreed-upon indices that measure climate extremes – five that deal with temperature and five with precipitation and ran computer models for the world through the year What Tebaldi called the scariest results had to do with heat waves and warm nights. Everything about heat waves – their intensity, length and occurrence – worsens.

Dangerous Times Are Coming

A DECLARATION OF DIVORCE FROM, AND IMPEACHMENT OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THESE UNITED STATES CURRENTLY IN POWER AS OF THIS OCTOBER, 2006 IN THE TWO HUNDREDTH AND TWENTY FIFTHYEAR OF THE PROMULGATION OF THE CONSTITUTION.

Also worth reading,

Once President Bush signed the new law on military tribunals, administration officials and Republican leaders in Congress wasted no time giving Americans a taste of the new order created by this unconstitutional act.

Sit Tight and Prep Right

Lonewolf sent me some links on the growing awareness of people to make preps for uncertain times. The risk of pandemic is increasing and governments around the world are telling people to make their preparations now.

Even Costco has gotten on the preparedness bandwagon with ‘survival buckets’ and bug-out bags can be found at Walmart. But how effective are these kinds of preparations? Not very. In fact, they may be dangerous in the sense that they give you a false sense of security, while failing to make preparations that will really work.

Drought!

Austrailia parched soils are in a serious state of collapse – as is the entire future of the continent.

In Jared Diamond’s book, Collapse – How Societies Choose To Fail or Succeed, he reveals how the soil salinity was destroying entire swaths and cities.  The situation has only worsened since that time, with the drought now becoming critical.

Bush’s America

Police brutality.

I have been to many protests, witnessed countless acts of police brutality, but none compare to what I saw today. Bean bag guns, pepper spray, rubber bullets, and billy clubs; all of them used to attack peaceful protestors. Friends of mine were trampled by horses, beaten by billy clubs, and peppersprayed severely. All in an disgusting display of extreme police brutality. My hands are still shaking and my eye still hurts from pepper spray so I will try to write this as best as I can…

Democracy Under Attack

This is a good summary of what the Military Commissions Act means.  I will go so far as to say that every point I have attempted to make regarding what the future holds for Americans remains as valid as ever. Just because a lot of people don’t yet realize it, doesn’t make these points wrong.

Bush has now been appointed dictator with permission from your Congress. You can be sure that this murderous, lying, deceiving, torturing bastard will use his new-found powers at the behest of the henchmen behind him.

Bugging Out

The subject of “bugging out” often comes up when considering the implications of collapse, pandemic, tyranny or some other cataclysmic life-changing event, many of which are now on the horizon and getting closer everyday. Ecological collapse, agricultural disaster, economic collapse, tyranny, war, plague, pandemic, or even regional disasters like hurricanes or drought could create conditions where the need to bug out becomes a very pressing matter.

More new and developing

I hope everyone is paying attention. The news regarding Citigo being dumped by 7/11 because of Chavez’s comments about Bush is indicative of rampant nationalism and blind ‘patriotism’ (to what, I have NO IDEA).

What is so scary about this is Bush-bot businesses are blindly lining up behind the Liar in Chief. We’ve seen this before with the incredibly stupid “Freedom Fries” hoopla.
